CELLA shaving soap is by far the best I have ever used. It creates a wonderful lather that makes shaving a pleasure. Like one reviewer has said: Kiss the canned goop and expensive pucks goodbye forever. All you have to do is slice off the block what you need and put the remainder inside a hard plastic container with a cover. Store in the lower section of your refrigerator...I love this CELLA product!

Soft. Has the texture & consistency of cold butter, not like a hard soap. Good stuff. I have heard that it’s shelf life is not the longest, so be prepared to contain it well if you’re stocking up with the big brick...

I used this previously in the small plastic cup but ordered the large size when my local source was out of stock. It is my favorite brush shaving soap. It is NOT a Brushlessshaving cream. It lathers well in moderately hard water, and has a pleasant almond smell,reminiscent of Marzapan. When received, the plastic wrapped block of soap weighed just over 1 g. as advertised. It is quite soft, and can easily be molded into a shaving cup.

The seal was broken and the weight was short about 5%. The lather and protection is good but it leaves my face a little dry. I gave away half and it will still last for years. There are better shaving cremes out the but not at this price.

This is the best shaving soap Ive ever used. It smells like almonds. It forms a very slippery surface on your face enabling your safety razor to glide over your face like a knife through butter. Judging how little the level of Cella shaving soap moved down in the plastic container I put it in, it will last for a great length of time. I absolutely love and will use it from now on. If you are sitting on the fence with regards to trying it, try it. You wont regret it. I hope this review helps.

I had only used the little red tub of Cella before and liked it. I decided to give the block a try because the Vitos red I had been using is hard to find. Love the block Cella! The scent is nice but, not heavy and the slickness and lather are top notch. I really think if I was forced to use one soap for the rest of my life, this would be it.

Like others, word of mouth drew me to this product. I used TOBS Sandalwood as my expensive cream. Excellent results with little effort, but that $15 seemed to evaporate in a month or so. Proraso and Razorock stuff works well, keep the Col. Conk for starter kits. Tried small tub of Cella, not the greatest results but I got better (any problem with lather can be solved with MORE PRODUCT) as time went on. This is now my daily lather maker, and although I still dont always hit the perfect lather, it is my adding water too soon and often, or whipping the lather so much I am putting air in and drying the whole mess out. I pair this soap with Fatip open comb safety razors (viva italia), although I have a Parker shavette on the way (buy band-aid stock, it will go up).

Cella is a go to soap. Always reliable, lathers extremely well in hard water, great cushioning and provides all day lubrication for the face.

Excellent, I wish I had discovered this sooner because now Im able to use sharper blades that produce a much closer shave without cutting myself. I had been using Arko and although it worked, it wasnt a very high quality soap. Love the smell of Cella, people say its almond but I smells like cherry to me. This is more high priced than what I was used to, but a kilogram should last many years and the results speak for themselves. Cella has been a brand since 1899 and its fairly easy to see what makes them better than the rest. Consider me a customer for life, thank you Italy!

This is a great shaving soap made in Italy. In the USA Cella is usually sold in individual tubs. This is an actual 1 Kilo block of the stuff. This breaks down into about 12 containers worth of the original Cella tubs. Great price point and a great soap. (BTW, you need to use a shaving brush for this soap.....)
