After much research, I settled on buying this rather large supply of a soap Id never tried before. Every single review I could find on this product, from shaving blogs to discussion forums, was strongly positive. The soap does not disappoint. It is not a hard soap; it is malleable like Play-Doh. The 1kg box is likely enough to last a year with daily shaving. I cut a portion off of the block with a knife, the size of a deck of cards. This lasted about 1 month. It whips into a lather very easily with a badger hair brush. The stability of the cream is remarkable. The scent of sweet almonds is quite pleasant. I will likely never use another shaving soap.

Its one of his favorite shaving creams. He loves the smell, how gentle it is for his sensitive skin and very cost effective.

To my standards its perfect. Also nice to be able to buy it in bulk.

If you love Cella Shaving Cream Soap then the best way to save money is by ordering it in relative bulk. Sure there is a bit of work in that youll have to cut out new pieces and mold them into containers when you need them however the difference in cost is tremendous. If however you are the kind of guy who likes to have and try a dozen shave soaps then youll still save money but youll have way more Cella save soap than youll ever need and the value wont be as great. Item came fairly quickly, came as advertised. Love it. I gave it 5 stars for moisturizing even though it will still dry you out a bit. Its a soap and not a moisturizer but under the circumstances it moisturizes pretty well for a soap.

CELLA shaving soap is by far the best I have ever used. It creates a wonderful lather that makes shaving a pleasure. Like one reviewer has said: Kiss the canned goop and expensive pucks goodbye forever. All you have to do is slice off the block what you need and put the remainder inside a hard plastic container with a cover. Store in the lower section of your refrigerator...I love this CELLA product!

This one brick lasted me 3 years! I just ordered another, and stopped by to leave a review. Its great! I hope they keep making this forever.

Excellent, I wish I had discovered this sooner because now Im able to use sharper blades that produce a much closer shave without cutting myself. I had been using Arko and although it worked, it wasnt a very high quality soap. Love the smell of Cella, people say its almond but I smells like cherry to me. This is more high priced than what I was used to, but a kilogram should last many years and the results speak for themselves. Cella has been a brand since 1899 and its fairly easy to see what makes them better than the rest. Consider me a customer for life, thank you Italy!

Im a woman in my 40s who switched over from canned Barbasol & shave gels over a year ago. My preference is for croaps - cross between a hard cream & a soft soap - and in my regular shave rotation are Proraso green, white & red, Cella, and Arko. Cella has a pliable, clay-like consistency you can mold with your hands, so you can use this large refill to fill your empty containers without any grating or melting - just cut off a chunk & press it into your container. I am in a hot climate so I store my large block in a gallon ziplock bag in my fridge. I cut my block in a tic-tac-toe pattern to refill the standard 5.4 oz. plastic Cella bowl, for 9 refills. Cella has an almond scent, lathers easily & well, tons of slickness thanks to tallow, and I find it the most moisturizing out of the soaps Ive used, probably due to coconut oil as the first ingredient. If youre a woman looking for a good budget-friendly shaving soap, Cella & Proraso white (the sensitive skin version) are the most feminine/least overtly-masculine scents in my opinion - Cella being the more moisturizing of those two. Obviously Im a fan of this soap since I bought the massive brick, and it will always be in my rotation.

Cella shaving soap is a quality product. Great smell, great texture, lathers up well and stays that way. Would recommend to any man who wants a comfortable shave.
