Pricey but great quality! Have at least one in every tank I own (10 tanks). Noticeable difference and you get a nice amount of them, highly recommend! Please rate my review it is unbiased!

They are great in the sense they will give you great surface area for beneficial bacteria. But the balls are not big enough to have anaerobic bacteria deep inside that it decrease nitrate. Second and more important thing is they release aluminium and in some systems aluminium is known to be detrimental. Check out at reefcentral and make your decision. I had bought it for my nano to save real estate but after reading about aluminium I removed them. If they were not leaching aluminium, then these were worth in gold. Hope this helps.

Honestly this is the best media I have ever used. I used this with a combination of seachem stability and seachem prime to cycle my new tank. And in three days my water parameters were perfect where I was able to add fish. I highly recommend this product!
