CerMedia MarinePure 1.5-Inch Sphere Bio-Filter Media for Marine and Freshwater Aquariums, 2-Quart

Put these in my nano tanks reservoir and noticed an increase ability for my tank to convert ammonia within a few days. Clearly works to provide more surface for bacteria as advertised. Really impressed though i wish they were a bit cheaper.

Just put the spheres in a Marineland 360 canister filter that is servicing a 55 gallon anemone tank Displaced 50% of the ceramic rings in order to prevent a mini cycle. Left bio balls in place. Also left the carbon in place. 1 box is more than enough for a filter thay size. Leftovers were dumped into the sump on another tank for conditioning. Will put those in the marineland 360 displacing the reminder of the ceramic rings. Heard great things about the product, but the jury wont be in for about 4 to 6 weeks on its effectiveness. If it works, next up is the 150 gallon mixed reef with large puffers. Will use the block in the wet dry sump and another box of the spheres in a marineland 530. 1 box should be enough in the canister filter.

Excellent product but crumble alittle. But excellent customer service

This biological media breaks down very easily. The media sheds drastically as you rinse it. If you squeeze it hard enough, pieces will break off. I recommend that you look into other biological media brands, such as BioHome, Eheim, and Fluval. I hope Marine Pure comes out with a better product, soon. Until then, this product gets one star.

These are awesome. I have a 16 gallon nano reef that only has 2 live rocks. Each only 2 or 3 lbs. And 11 bio balls in the back. They work like a charm and cycled my tank when it was stalled. (Obviously lack of live rock) but because the tank is only 24 long I wanted to leave as much open space for my clowns and these did the trick. And would buy them again if I need more. I also tossed some in my nano freshwater tanks for some bio action.

Amazing at keeping nitrates down

They dont sell a big enough pack, i would have to buy 20 packs to get the amount i need. But the product works good.

I put these in a Marina hang on the back breeder box on my reef tank and they work amazing. As a matter of fact, they worked so well that I ordered the block for the new sump Im building. I also put these in my sons freshwater tank and they have made a tremendous difference compared to the media included in his HOB filter. I have had no problems with this effecting my corals or fish. Amazing product that really has helped keep my tanks healthy.

Fits perfectly into the reservoir on my fusion 20. They also expedited the cycling process immensely.
