Ness was probably the hardest of Wave 4 to snag. Not only is he store exclusive to Gamestop, hes also both a fan-favorite and one of the more obscure characters. Remember April 2nd? The day Gamestops servers crashed? Ness was the main reason of this. Ness broke Gamestop. Thankfully I bought him before the hunt for $30. I think he goes for $40 or even $50 now. For the figure, Ness is one of the best Ive seen yet. He almost looks identical to the artwork if you look at him at a certain angle. His expression and pose are great, though his black soulless eyes are a bit creepy. His backpack also looks great. I never really got a good look at it since I dont really look at the character models or trophies much. Ness is one of the few amiibo that really do look like a Smash trophy brought into the real world. As this is probably the most recent Earthbound memorabilia Nintendo has released, this is a most have for Earthbound/Mother fans. Aside from the Japanese Mother 2 figure, this is Nesss only figure. Hes probably the one of the rarest yet (Not Holy Trinity rare, but I think hes close). Ness, like Rosalina, kinda grew on me this Smash. In fact, I want to main these guys along with Shulk, Robin, Jigglypuff, and Mewtwo. On an unrelated note, I want to main Lucas when he releases as well. If youre an Earthbound/Mother fan, collector, or just like Ness, this amiibo will be one of the crown jewels in your collection.

I purchased this amiibo because Ness is my favorite character in super smash bros. It came in great shape in its box, and it wasnt bent or broken. I have heard that some amiibos have arrived broken, and I my Samus amiibo is slightly bent. All of the writing on the box was Japanese, but it works perfectly with my English Wii U. I noticed that the Japanese import was cheaper than the gamestop promo, I assume now that they are the exact same product. If you like Ness get it. It is slightly more than the more common amiibos, but this one seems to be more rare than others for some reason. I spent 23, which was the most I was willing to spend. When it first came out I saw that it way 50, so I am glad that I waited. Maybe it will get cheaper still.

I like how the figure was made. Im going to train Palutena in my game and make her a strong figure fighter (seeing as someone at a tournament did a deadly combo on me I assume she might give me some trouble as her levels increase).

I intended to keep in original packaging but it was damaged. The amiibo is still brand new and looks good.

SO AWESOME! From the moment I opened it, Samus was flipping around and shooting missiles all over the house! My cats had no idea how to react. She destroyed half my furniture and even put a hole in my favorite shirt...then the drugs wore off and I realized it was just a plastic amiibo! Works great!

The images on the internet do not do this wonderfully made Palutena Amiibo justice. I was pleasantly surprised by the detail of the clothing and weaponry. I would of preferred that it had Palutenas white wings be out like Pits, but the blue wings arent that bad, and do well to symbolize Palutenas holiness. It is quite tall, even surpassing Rosalina. The parts seem very delicate, unlike other more durable Amiibos such as Rosalina and Little Mac. A gentle bump makes the delicate parts (especially the arms) move pretty easily. The craftsmanship (though the detail is #1 in my book) best compares to Zeldas. Handle with care. My main complaint is that the right thigh bulges outwards at the middle point of that leg. I dont know if that is a defect or what, but I can see the center (most likely an assembly division) line of the leg in that area. I still like this Palutena Amiibo though. My only regret is that I had to pay twice its actual value. This is probably going to be the last Amiibo that I purchase. I love Amiibos, because they bring out my inner childhood memories of my favorite characters from Nintendo, but they are just too darn hard to obtain. TL DR: All Palutena fans- I dont think you would be sorry if you bought this Amiibo, even if you just sat it on your desk or dresser. ;D

I was afraid that it wouldnt work w/ Switch and Smash Ultimate, but it works perfectly! Just remember to save your amiibos progress before exiting the game... Dont make the same mistake I did!

Yes, there is not much to say to an Amibo. It does its job. But my husband had a blast using this on the wii U training his favorite character on Smash Brothers. It seemed to have excited him a lot. Packaging is in Japanese so he made me (I am Japanese) translate everything on it. But there is nothing important on there that you need to be able to understand. Thank you Amazon for allowing my husband to order Ness Amibo from Japan. He was fussing for a while that he missed the chance to get it when it was sold in U.S.
