ChiaoGoo Red Lace Circular 16 inch (41cm) Stainless Steel Knitting Needle Size US 4 (3.5mm) 7016-4

I can only repeat what everyone seems to say about these wonderful knitting needles. I have been working on a long skinny scarf for Christmas. It is lovely but the yarn loves to split. I am used to circular needles, metal. I tried one pair that would not relax. Tried straight bamboo needles that were too blunt and the yarn dragged. I got the Chiaogoo 5.5mm (US size 9) 16 inch red lace circular knitting needles to try out after seeing all the wonderful reviews. WOW! I am flying through my knitting now without dropping or adding a stitch. I love the nicely pointed tips, knitting the lace pattern stitches is so much easier now; the magical red lace cord’s only purpose in life is to hold the two needles together. It doesn’t make you twist and turn it to position how you are holding the needles. It doesn’t have a mind of its own. It just lays there (as it should!). I am going to save my money and get the full line of these needles. Yes they are that good in my opinion. I’m sure you will love them.

I have dozens of circular needles, addi, knit picks, off brands & I like this brand of circular needles the best for the cable that doesn’t twist up, the pointy ends & the surface that helps keep the yarn on the needles. This brand will always be my first choice.

I really looked forward to getting these needles. I already love the brand but had never tried the red lace needles. My typical choice is bamboo, but I really wanted a sharper point for faster knitting. These needles have a lovely point, and the cable is nice and flexible. It was a relief to not have to re-form the cable after taking it out of the package. However, the needle length is a bit long... making it a bit difficult to knit in the round. My bamboo counterparts to this set have a much better needle to cable ratio and are a breeze to knit with. If the needle portion of this set was a bit shorter it would make a huge difference in the ease of use.
