It simple and thin plastic. All because it is amazing and simple doesn’t mean 16$ is it’s worth SMH I need more but I’m not buying again!

I dont have a child need for this, but our emergency switch for the boiler is at the top of our basement stairs and sometimes guests will turn it off, confusing it with a light switch. Rather than have a colored plate, I thought this would be more discreet. So far so good....you need two hands to open the cover. Only thing I would add if it matters is that it is slightly wider than the typical light switch plate cover.

Love this! My twin toddlers love to play with the light switches which can be dangerous so I was happy to find this solution. They can’t open it and I’m one happy mama!

What a great idea . Our little ones crib is right but the light switch. This stoped her from playing with it every night and every morning.

Perfect for keeping toddler hands front turning lights on and off. Easy for a four year old to figure out, but perfect for 2 (maybe three) and under.

Super safe and impossible for little hand to press all three prongs in at once. Very easy install very tough! My kid can unlock just about anything but not these! It’s a serious piece of equipment, so if your kid is just playing with the light switch to drive you nuts you may want to get something easier to open. I don’t want him playing with a gas fireplace however, so the lockdown is worth the trouble!

This light switch cover is exactly what I needed. My autistic son occasionally wakes up in the night and will play instead of going back to bed because he can turn his light on. This definitely encouraged him to simply go back to bed. So happy I found this.

Our 2 year old spent a solid three months of using his light switch as a means to party all night long. He would turn the lights on and off almost compulsively for entertainment all hours of the night. The newfound game was playing was cutting into everyone’s sleep and turning our toddler into a grump! We tried several other switch covers but he was too tall and too good at problem solving for others to be successful. This light switch has been a lifesaver!!! My toddler is no longer light switch obsessed. My only recommendation is that if you have an overly motivated, puzzle solving toddler, then DO NOT EVER OPEN THE LIGHT SWITCH COVER IN FRONT OF YOUR CHILD. This makes it harder for them to learn how to uncover the switch in addition to needing the hand dexterity to do so. Overall, I love this product!

I needed this for a switch in the sound booth at my church. When the switch would accidently be turned off, it would shut the entire sound system down. I installed this cover and have no worries now!

It works great, unless your children figure out they can pry open just the bottom with enough room to hit the light switch. Otherwise great for younger, less clever children.
