I don’t have kids but I have the weirdest cat on the planet. He loves to open and slam the bathroom cabinet in the morning to wake me up, because he needs to eat right away or he’ll die of starvation... so if you have a tiny human crawling around or an annoying cat you don’t want to eat you, these are perfect for the job!

Does the job. A little inconvenient to pinch the tabs in order to take off as opposed to a button. Im sure it will keep my kids out for longer though so its worth it.

Works very well to keep my fat, lard-filled glutton of a cat from getting into the cabinet where we store her food and help herself to a feeding free for all at 4 AM. I can finally sleep easy knowing that my well fed cat will not overfeed, making such a racket with the bag that she wakes me up. I can finally get rest. And my amorphous mass of adipose and fur will finally start slimming down and resemble a cat again.

Age appropriateWhere is your purchase not too expensive easy to install and yes my twin toddlers aren’t able to break into our cabinets I absolutely love it it’s worth buying some of the other items are not easy to install however if you don’t have small knobs the product will not fit and secure a safety latch you have to buy it based on the object that you’re trying to secure It does not fit on all appliances

Ok so first I was disappointed as it just about was too short for my knobs but then I got this genius idea to try to use a candle to melt off a bit of the plastic on the round part of the lock. It has 2 layers of plastic one the actual lock and the other a piece coming out of that into the curve. So I melted that piece off and it’s working amazing. Fits well and let’s me have some more time spent otherwise than putting everything back into the closets that my 2 yr old unpacked. No more messing closets up! Thanks

Easy to use to keep the little ones safe.

I used this product to prevent my 1 year old from going into the cabinets. I usually buy the older style of locks. However, these came up on my search. I ended up giving them away because they are inconvenient. You have to carefully pinch down on the two pieces and use a second hand to pull. Then, the piece comes off and you have to hold it or put it somewhere that you won’t forget. The older model you can hold a baby and pull down the plastics piece with on hand. The price stays on one of the plastic arms and then you can open the door. I would not recommend this style for those that have a busy household and limited time to get in and out of cabinets.

Only giving three stars because one of our sets of cabinets had the handles too wide for these to fit on. I was surprised they don’t extend further. They are a little annoying to get on and off constantly and I felt like I was scratching the paint of my cabinets as I would be attempting to unlock. Ended up not using.

Pro: This product is tougher and stronger than other similar products on the market. Con: It takes me both hands to open and close the lock. This is a minor trade-off for the benefit of how tough it is.

I wish this only required one hand, but is what it is. My one true complaint is that the plastic is a bit flimsy. I’m not sure it will hold up for when my little one is older. If he does become determined it might be possible for him to snap it.
