Comparison of Jumbo Clips. I decided to buy some jumbo clips, and figured I would buy two varieties and compare them. They arrived today. I havent used them yet, but here are some thoughts. There is a price difference, (though we are not talking about the amount that would break the bank for a couple dozen clips). I bought a pack of Urbest (25 for $7.99), and a pack of Clover (24 for $11.72). They are the same size and shape. The Clover clips have seam allowance markings noted on the flat bottom(1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1). The Urbest has unnoted markings on the bottom, but only line up at the 1 mark. <side-note-I would probably never use any of those markings anyway>) The Clover ones have a bit more tensile strength when pinched, but I think that would only be an issue if they were used for holding a bunch of suspended weight. The plastic just felt a little more substantial in the Clover clips, so I weighed them to see if I was imagining it. The Urbest weighed in at 13 clips for 2 ounces, while the Clover weighed in at 11 clips for 2 ounces. Bottom line- Both are fine, Urbest came in more colors and was less money. If I had to give one set away, I would let go of the Urbest, but I am happy with both and will mix them together.

Great clips. Great size. I have used the smaller clips for a while now with great success. However, I sometimes work with vinyl and home dec fabric where pins either dont work or bend. The little clips were too small but these clips worked great. They are sturdy but easy to open.

I had the small, red ones & just knew this was a quality product. Whats even better -- I scored a great deal with Amazon! I love that they can be used for larger, heavier quilts, home dec projects, etc. The measurement markings are so handy & no pin-pricks or struggling to handle a bulky item turned. Its almost like having an extra pair of hands!!

While these clips are marketed to quilters, I havent found a quilting project that really justifies my purchase of them. Theyre really too big to pin my binding...even when they are flipped over and you can see the 1/4, 1/2 markings that are there to help you measure. I have used them to clip my quilt as Im quilting it...and they do hold the material securely. However, I think that a regular clothespin would work just as well. I love the Clover brand...these are well made clips that are thoughtfully designed. Im just not sure how they work into my quilting activities.

These are great for larger projects! Easy to handle and will hold tight. Not too difficult to squeeze. These are too big for small projects but great for larger projects. They are a tool with the versatility for sewers, knitters and crafters who need to hold things in place while they work.

I use Clover wonder clips in all my fabric and yarn crafts and I find them brilliant. I have some of the cheaper non Clover clips and feel that the Clover brand is far superior.

I use these large clips to hold my knitted pieces together as I seam them together. I love these! I also bought the small red ones for sewing use and they are one of the best purchases Ive made!

These have been a godsend for thicker sewing projects like quilts or working with fleece. I even have one keeping my sewing machines cord clipped out of the way on my table. I didnt give it 5 stars simply because I would really like to see the top part of the clip flat instead of curved, in order to help keep the fabric in place all the way to the edge. But even without that one little detail, they still work beautifully.

I LOVE them! They hold potholder layers together without distortion, the various prints and pieces for little handbags I create individually so I dont have to sort or pin again. I love the hole in the back part of the clip that allows me to pin it to a bulletin board. I would love to meet the person who made these happen. I have bought three packages - they also make just perfect gifts for the sewer is too frugal to treat herself!

Wow. These new Clover Jumbo Wonder clips #3157 have great holding capacity for many craft projects. The Clip opens wide to hold several layers of fabric or whatever you need to keep in place. They are a great alternative to pins, especially when working with vinyl"s, piles, and heavy weight fabrics. The bottom plate of the clip features seam allowance markings and slides easily on the sewing machine deck. The rounded nose allows the foot of your machine to ride along the front for neat stitching. These are a wonderful time saver. They make sewing and crafting more enjoyable while contributing to a finer finished product. You will wonder what you did without these when you use them on your next project.
