17-04-2025Comparison of Jumbo Clips. I decided to buy some jumbo clips, and figured I would buy two varieties and compare them. They arrived today. I havent used them yet, but here are some thoughts. There is a price difference, (though we are not talking about the amount that would break the bank for a couple dozen clips). I bought a pack of Urbest (25 for $7.99), and a pack of Clover (24 for $11.72). They are the same size and shape. The Clover clips have seam allowance markings noted on the flat bottom(1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1). The Urbest has unnoted markings on the bottom, but only line up at the 1 mark. <side-note-I would probably never use any of those markings anyway>) The Clover ones have a bit more tensile strength when pinched, but I think that would only be an issue if they were used for holding a bunch of suspended weight. The plastic just felt a little more substantial in the Clover clips, so I weighed them to see if I was imagining it. The Urbest weighed in at 13 clips for 2 ounces, while the Clover weighed in at 11 clips for 2 ounces. Bottom line- Both are fine, Urbest came in more colors and was less money. If I had to give one set away, I would let go of the Urbest, but I am happy with both and will mix them together.

> 3 dayBought the small clips to match and Im so glad I have the two items... Wasnt sure which size to buy, so I got all two and I KNOW these will make my projects a lot easier and help control that fabric!! The color is so nice and vibrant that I wont loose these like I loose my pins!! hahhhaaaaa!!The clips are so sturdy and have clearly marked seam allowance markings (which the package will tell you how to measure)...

Greater than one weekThese are so much bigger than the red ones. I love both of them but they work good for different things. I like to use the red ones for holding bias tape before sewing and these are good for bulky items like multiple layers of fleece. They are a very good size. 24 is an awesome amount. I have never needed more. The plastic bag they come in is reclosable. So you dont need to find another container to put them in.

> 3 dayI love this jumbo clip. Im a quilter and use this size to clip multiple layers of quilt blocks and cut fabric pieces instead of pins. Makes it quite easy to remove one layer at a time.

> 3 dayUse these for crafts instead of clothes pins as they have just that little extra wiggle room and since they are plastic they can get wet. I have since noticed these in my local sewing store! So I guess you can use these for heming clothes as well!

> 3 dayI like clover clips and these are great. The bigger size comes in handy for larger projects or stacks of fabric to be kept together. I think this is a must have for quilters....along with the smaller red clips. They are useful around the house too!

> 3 dayIm a quilter, and these clips are PERFECT when adding the binding to your quilt - as well as other projects! They are very practical, made of a durable bright green plastic, and sew easy to use. And Amazon.com had the best price - by far! Being Prime eligible, there was NO shipping costs, and were delivered QUICKLY! LOVE them!

> 3 dayBoth the red (small) and green (large) we my first go-to before pins. The red ones are perfect for clipping around a mitered binding corner after folding and prior to sewing as well as holding the binding in place while you sew. Both red and green are strong, secure, never slip, and can be used in *almost* any situation where you need to pin. Because the green ones are larger, I dont need as many, but advice I heeded about the red ones is order the big package. You will definitely need a bunch!
