Love this little thing! Its very sharp but well protected against accidental scrapes. Dont leave it in your project bag with loose yarn though! I keep mine around my neck when in use and in a little bag with all my other tools when not in use. Lovely little design as well, it could probably pass for a pendant on a thick chain.

This is perfect for working with my sewing projects. I added a leather string to hand around my neck and I can always find my thread cutter. It is pretty also - so when I forget to take it off and have to go some place no one thinks it is anything besides a pendant

Purchased as a gift for my crafty niece. I have one of these myself and its extremely handy to have on a ribbon around your neck on on a retractable badge spool where it cant get lost on the sewing table. Its also nice for when youre crafting around little kids since its one less pointy thing they can use to hurt themselves.

This is a functional, useful, and pretty device for cutting thread. It can be worn as a pendant on a chain. This would be useful for beaders, sewers, and quilters, for cutting threads.

I double checked the TSA website, and this pendant is specifically banned for carry-on luggage. Knitting needles, on the other hand, are okay to include with your carry on luggage. (Does that make sense to anyone?) As mentioned in another comment, it really all depends on who is checking your bags and which airport you are traveling through. Still, this pendant is very convenient and easier to carry around. As a mother of toddlers I dont worry so much about them getting their hands on it.

Great for when you are flying. You can cut your thread without scissors.

Bought it as a christmas present for my crafty mom. I created a necklace using some chain and a clasp and shes been super excited to use it for sewing and loom work. Really pretty and nifty.
