Clover Thread Cutter Pendant, Antique Silver (454)

Altho this is small and handy, some sharp eyed TSA agent will confiscate it, as of a couple of months ago it was one of the few craft items on the list banned by TSA

It was the perfect item for my Edwardian Era Sewing Chantelaine, it looks antique & it was the right size.

Looked for crochet yarn cutter - this came upon top. Not big enough for yarn... Maybe my fault for not reading through - but dang. Fix your search engine, Amazon.

I have these little Clover cutters next to the 2 machines I use for quilting and one in my travel case. They are great for chain piecing. No more snipping pieces apart with scissors. Just a quick slip between pieces and they are separated. My first one was gifted to me and the others I bought. I even have a Clover yarn cutter that works the same way but the cutter part is wider for the yarn.

Since I like to crochet while traveling, I need a thread cutter and I really dont like using scissors while the car is in motion. I put the Clover Thread Cutter on a cord and just slip it over my head. It looks like an old fashioned necklace. I like the quality of it also. Very pleased with this purchase.

This is a terrific little tool and a real time saver for anyone who sews or quilts. Instead of reaching for the scissors every time, this gadget is right there at the ready. Lots of little bays so should stay sharp for a good long while. Also seems safe for little fingers, if you have curious children in the house. Youll need to purchase your own chain or lanyard separately, but thats just as well since the length youll want it to hang from the neck will be individual to you.

I keep this in my purse currently, but it can be worn as a pendant as well. Perfect for cutting thread more easily than using fingernail clippers all the time.

Wear it as a necklace and have no problems with changing color threads and cutting as needed. Does not work for anything else but is fabulous for that and not at all dangerous as nothing fits in slots but thread or yarn.

This is number 2 of these. I keep one tied to my embroidery hoop to always have on hand.

It is useful for basting during English Paper Piecing.
