I recently moved from Utah to Missouri. I have never experienced rain rot on any of my horses. After surviving the hottest, sauna like summer of my life, I noticed both of my horses had little sores all over their legs and one of them had some on her back. So I had to Google what it was. Funny thing before I moved this product keep showing up in my news feed on Facebook, so I had read up on it a little bit. When inrealized that it was rain rot, I already knew how to treat it. I bought this and it came within a couple days. I had run to a local store and bought some special shampoo that helped a tiny bit. As soon as this arrived, I put it on my horses. I didnt touch it for a couple days. During this time we did experience more rain. Their legs and back still stayed covered with the paste. On the third day I scraped off some over the sores and they were all dried out and looked really good. I did apply it one more time. In the meanwhile I did get the powder that is part of this line, so I applied it to their upper bodies. They seem to stay dryer. I think it helped so much. I will definitely use the powder on a regular basis. I will probably use the paste as needed or when its really wet outside and in the grass. I dont want to be without it again. It works really well. Im grateful I had read so much about it prior to my move. Its a life saver for my fur babies.

I always have a can of Coat Defense on hand. I mostly use it in the winter after long trail rides to dry the sweat off my horses winter coat before putting his blanket on. It works fast, smells great and leaves his coat soft and shiny when it dries. As the owner of a grey (white) horse I love using it to cover up those stubborn stains that wont lift with stain removers. I treat with a stain remover and then add Coat Defense while the coast is still wet. The Coat Defense covers the stain like grooming chalk. Once the coat is dry and brushed out it seems to help lift the stain underneath. Coat Defense dries with a white residue, I love it for the white horse, not sure if I would appreciate it as much if my horse were bay. Also good in the spring for itchiness from shedding out and bugs.

Great product! Horses love it!

Works great in all areas. I have used it pre ride and at times after a ride to dry up the sweat. Have also used it on rain rot, and itches that my mini sometimes has, and it has worked great every time.

Bought this because my horse was having allergy issues. He had hives and then started rubbing his shoulder on anything he could get near. This powder dried everything up and healed his skin without baby scarring. His hair grew back quickly as well

It needs an applicator. Too much wasted. On long coat, sweaty horse was difficult to clean after treatment.
