Used this on two pairs of boots. Took some of the color off of a brand new pie of brandy-colored smooth leather. Managed to not add any shine to the smooth leather, which is good. Refreshed my old pair of work steel toes.

Good leather conditioner

It took 5 coats but I’ve refinished a pair of old DocMartins ballet slippers, and working on all my other leather goods w/this - will probably need a new bottle sooner than later! Good stuff, as a professional massage therapist I work w/oils and this oil is as yummy and soothe soaks into my skin just as easily as the leather I’m working on. Love it!

Ive been treating boots with different products for a long time. I normally use other brands, but this one was the leader on all of the top five lists I saw and I figured Id try it out on my new Danners - the heavy old-fashioned ones made of thick full-grain leather. I also used it on a pair of boots with thinner leather.

Will darken the leather.

Put some of this on my Thorogood boots, it was exactly what I was looking for! Didn’t want a glossy shine but I wanted to get something that would condition the leather really well. That’s exactly what this stuff did. It softened the leather a little bit but not so much so that it was concerning.

I usually use Chelsea leather food for my shoes and other leather products and decided to give this a try for the dress shoes. Coverage is good (its liquidy), it absorbs well, and it shines up nicely. Id recommend it for those who want to easily restore a light shine with just a brush if you dont want to go for a wax shine. I havent tried it on a thirstier matte leather yet, but I wouldnt expect it to make those overly shiny.

Decent conditioner that does the job. I give it 4 Stars, because I think Saddle Soap works better, but this stuff works well. The secret is to use a sock or a soft rag to work the conditioner into the leather. Wait at least an hour to polish or wear.
