Been looking for a good/decent set of metallic watercolors and had my eye on this for about a year. After all that time I finally decided to get it and wasnt disappointed! Just be sure to sprinkle them with water and let it sit at least 30 seconds for best results

Outstanding workability. Must apply a few drops of water and allow a few minutes so it may absorb “as directed” which allows for super dense buttery pigment. Outstanding addition as a side palette when golds and silver are needed. I also use pure gold leaf in my watercolors. This pallet can be used as is BUT also blends well with fine pigment watercolors. Also, if you want to punch up the intensity of the gold(s) or silver, I’ve applied Daniel Smith “Black” Watercolor Ground, as the base, prior to applying gold and silver. Just allow the watercolor(WC) ground time to dry/cure prior to application! The black WC ground will not incorporate nor bleed into the pearlescent pigments AND punches up the final result! That’s my 2 cents ;)

really pretty paints!! they are a bit harder to work with than typical watercolors, other than that the colors are fun and look good as accents. That being said, you only really need 3 of these colors, the white shimmer, and a warm and cool gold, all the other colors look like watered down versions or mixtures.

Absolutely love love love these paints! I now find any reason to use them in each of my paintings! Ive tried many other gold paints and inks but these are exactly what Ive been looking for! Love the variation in golds too, they seem like subtle differences in the pallette but on paper it is a whole different story!

I got these for card making, to add some pizzaz to my designs. The colors are beautiful and look different on white and black paper. They work great!

Quiet pricey for this amateur. But this paint is awesome! At first I thought all the golds were too similar, but theyre just right (whatever THAT means, lol). The silver is gorgeous. And if you want more sheer or more dense, play around to see what great results you can get. Im not the greatest painter, but these pictures are a general idea of what you can expect. I never write reviews but this is absolutely the best gold watercolor I’ve ever used. It covers well and looks great on both black and white paper.

This paint is a great addition to your watercoloring. They are pretty and bright. Easy to use. I would buy this product line again.

I love these. The colors are perfect for what I needed and creamy as long as you follow the instructions and wet the pans and give the colors time to soak. When I know Im going to be using them I will stay water over all the colors, close the lid, and then get setup with everything else, sometimes even sketching the art piece, then when Im ready to use these paints they are ready too. Im not a big fan of the plastic case they are in since there isnt s good place for mixing but thats about the only thing I dont like.
