Outstanding workability. Must apply a few drops of water and allow a few minutes so it may absorb “as directed” which allows for super dense buttery pigment. Outstanding addition as a side palette when golds and silver are needed. I also use pure gold leaf in my watercolors. This pallet can be used as is BUT also blends well with fine pigment watercolors. Also, if you want to punch up the intensity of the gold(s) or silver, I’ve applied Daniel Smith “Black” Watercolor Ground, as the base, prior to applying gold and silver. Just allow the watercolor(WC) ground time to dry/cure prior to application! The black WC ground will not incorporate nor bleed into the pearlescent pigments AND punches up the final result! That’s my 2 cents ;)

Im very pleased with these mica watercolors in shades of gold. Beautiful effects on white or black paper. Highly metallic, which is just what I was looking for!

This product was used by an artist I follow on YouTube. They are AWESOME !! Goes on smooth and easy and wonderful to work with! A suggestion she gave - have a separate pallete with the sparkles from your other paints!

I am in love with this brand and metallic paint, the quality is impeccable, the paint is very special, when i received it and realized how wonderful it was i went to the place i stored my paintings and finished a many as i could with a little bit of gold and silver, the results are fantastic. I also did my Christmas cards with them and wrote with them. Very special and good quality, worth it the money for sure. I adore them!

as a calligrapher, i had to try this palette out and im super happy i did. it does take quite a bit of water to loosen up the ink, but once you find the right balance, its great and flows well....but it does take some trial and error to get the flow right. loooove the way they shimmer once dried. definitely looks more impressive in person than in a photo...almost looks embossed. i love this for calligraphy with a pointed pen.

I have to start by explaining that the paints have to be activated a minute before you are planning to use them by adding a bit of water and just letting it sit. After the activating the result is so beautiful! Completely mesmerizing with the intensity and pearliness. Ive attached a picture drawn with these, but it doesnt do them any justice. I am planning to try Finetecs second set of pearly watercolors, Im sure I wont be dissapointed.

I had read many reviews of different glittery metallic paints before deciding that Coliro pearl colors would be the best for me. Im very happy with my purchase. The package arrived quickly and in good condition. The paints rewet easily and work like magic on my watercolor art. They add a special touch to my paintings and its even fun to just watch the mica move in the palette. The plastic palette also feels sturdy and easy to take while traveling. The company also reached out to me and were very very accommodating. I would definitely order from them again for my next set of metallic paints.

Of all the gold watercolors on the market, I think you will find this maker the highest in quality. Im not sure these are considered professional watercolors and there may be a higher, more pigmented product, but for the price.... you will not be disappointed. Many well established artists in Mixed media and watercolor use these. I am extremely impressed with the quality and coverage.

So pigmented with a great shine. The paint pans are so large its going to last forever! Unless youre covering a whole sheet of paper with it then maybe not. But for smaller details, lettering, script, borders etc youll have plenty of product for awhile.

I have bought metallic watercolors before, many times. I like to test out products to find the best ones for my needs and art, but this paint THIS paint surpassed even my wildest expectations! Its hard to catch in a picture just how beautiful it is but from the Tibet Gold to Sterling Silver this set of paints looks too beautiful to be real, and yet, here it is! I will be buying again when I use these up, and testing out other products from this same maker if possible. If youre looking for a good set of metallic paint, look no further.
