So, it isnt bad, per se, but it leaves a lot to be desired. I bought this article about a year ago and I now regret it. Some people have mentioned the chipping on the wood. One of the reasons I bought this item is because I thought the etching on the handle meant that the handle had to be solid wood. I was wrong. Now I am stuck with obnoxious branding that reveals on close observation the *imitation* of wood etching. The umbrella feels like a cheap umbrella pretending to be an expensive umbrella, which (in my mind) makes it worse than a cheap umbrella that knows its place. Then there are the dozens of other smaller things that bug me, but arent reason enough to buy another one or seek a refund. Lately I have been noticing a slight leak at the top, only enough to release a drop or two every 15 minutes, but definitely there and definitely annoying. One of the caps on the end of the umbrella, connecting the fabric to the skeleton, gets loose and I keep having to put it back on. The strap oftentimes gets lost when you try wind it up. The fabric wrinkles easily despite how thin it is. It was only a couple months after purchase that it got inverted, twice, due to wind. In short, if you are gonna drop a lot of money on an umbrella, make sure you get a good umbrella. A Gustbuster, for instance, or a Balios. A sexy, chic bad-boy that will make you proud and will last forever or until you lose it at a train station.

Lighter than common smaller umbrellas. Great feel, feels solid, not delicate, light, love the wood handle and the 2 straps. Used it in a couple of Florida rain falls, so far a great product.

This is a very nice umbrella. One of the ribs was disconnected from the sleeve that holds the fabric in place on delivery, but this was easy to fix. The handle and fabric are nice and perform well. The plastic components are not of the quality that I expected and am worried a little about its durability. Generally, this is very nice and was intended as an upgrade to my previous umbrella. It is on the handle and strength of the center shaft, but the mechanism durability may not be as good. Replacement was needed as the previous umbrella was old and the fabric was no longer able to perform and had collected holes. Looking for a robust 5 star umbrella and found a nice, but potentially less durable than expected, umbrella that feels as if it will require care, but should give good 4 star service. No reason to not use it and it is certainly worthy recommendation with the noted caveats. As such it is superior to many umbrellas, but less than it might have been... Sorry to have seen the delivery quality issue. A slightly better out of the box experience and upgraded hardware and this would be an easy 5 star umbrella to be proud of and would have been an immediate reorder without consideration when a new one was needed. As is, it give enough pause to cause a search when time for a new one. A little nicer and I wouldnt have bothered to look at another company again.

Your umbrella has performed as expected. The quality of your product shows. The styling makes it look like a much more expensive umbrella. Its a great product for a reasonable cost. A highly recommendable product. Thank you.

After the recent California storms eviscerated two cheap umbrellas in a single day, I ordered this British looking umbrella as a replacement. While I waited for it to arrive, the rain kept coming, and I kept getting soaked. It arrived today, right at a break in the rain. Eager to try it out, I waited for the rain to return. An hour later, when the deafening roar of raindrops was echoing off my roof, I got ready to go out to dinner. When I stepped outside with the umbrella, I beheld its awesome power; the rain has stopped. This umbrella doesnt just repel rain, it causes it to stop raining. As I enjoyed a plate of brisket and ribs from my favorite BBQ joint, I watched the rain return outside with a vengeance. Eager to ride into battle with my new rain weapon, I finished up dinner and prepared to venture out again into the torrent. Behold! The magic umbrella had again parted the clouds and stopped the rain. I took the opportunity to open. The umbrella and examine the fine craftsmanship. This is truly the last umbrella you will ever need.

It is very strong and looks great, the only problem is the fake wood finish comes off the handle pretty easily so you have to be aware of that. The other thing I think I should mention is that maybe its just me, but I thought the umbrella was navy blue in the picture its not, its black.

This is by far the best umbrella I have ever bought. The handle has a nice solid feel, the framework is well built and sturdy, and the umbrella tip is metal. I love this umbrella so much I look forward to rainy days where I can pull this baby out and stunt on all the other Americans wit their cheap made-in-China compact umbrellas that don’t last more than a month.

The handle is different, not varnished, rustic-looking, pale, unfinished, but umbrella has worked well so far, well packaged, arrived in good condition

It looks and feels very sturdy, even the ribs are made of fiberglass. Its good for dog walking.
