When I ordered this, I could find no mention that these feed-through jumpers worked with newer horizontal sliding vinyl double-pane windows. Being very energy efficient, I was concerned our 3 year old windows would seal too tightly for this jumper to work. But I can now tell you, it worked for our windows and very well. I purchased two of these jumpers, one for HF and the other for 2M/440. The cables are one on top of the other and Ive seen no interference between the two signals. This jumper solved my problem of not wanting to drill through our stucco walls. Now I can run both radios (HF & Dual-Band) with the window tightly closed.

Absolutely garbage. Doesnt work at all, and its extremely flimsy.

Works great! Minimal signal loss if any depending on frequency you are using to transmit on.

Fairly expensive for what it is, but it works. As previous reviewers have noted, I dont think you would want to raise and lower a window on this device too frequently. I operate HF, and I dont see any negative SWR impact with this cable.

Not exactly what the doctor ordered but the next best thing. Haven’t installed it yet but anticipate that it will work.

Ive had my Comet Window Feed-Thru Jumper in my closed window for at least a year; maybe longer. It still works like new. Its a simple, but very useful product.

At best, this is a stop-gap device. Though I have a good experience with it across the VHF amateur band (1.2:1 SWR) I have issues with it on 70cm. The SWR at the low end of this band is ok but it rises sharply towards the top end to over 1.7:1. The stated insertion loss seems pretty accurate and it too rises shaarply on 70cm. My suspicion is that it was designed for primary use in Hf up through VHF but the manufacturer pushed its use on UHF to maximize sales. Unfortunately there arent many alternatives around (MFJ if your window has an opening up to 48). Otherwise the tape is quite flimsy and will, no doubt, turn brittle in UV light. At best, for my use, I can only rate it 3 stars...and thats pushing it.

I love the idea of this type of jumper. It is thin so you can smash it in the window and it will still work. The idea being that you dont need to drill holes in your house to run an antenna cable in. I use this for connecting a HAM radio in to my basement office. Im not a big fan of drilling holes in my house to get cables installed and connected, which is why I installed conduit in the walls of my house for everything that I could consider at the time the house was built. I obviously didnt consider getting in to HAM radio, so I didnt put any conduit to that side of the house. This jumper allowed me to get an antenna cable in to the house without needing to drill a hole. It has been installed in the window now for a couple of months, during fairly cold weather. I have not noticed and leakage from the window where it is installed. One thing that I have not yet tried is to put the screen back in place. I am not sure if the screen will have enough force to push the cable out of the way, or if it will just bend the screen. But, I will probably find out when it gets a little warmer. Overall, I am happy with this jumper, but I deducted one star because these jumpers seems insanely expensive for what they are.

Works great! Window closes completely. I use one for 2 meters and another for HF.

When drilling through the wall is forbidden, or if there is no way to make a sufficient hole for your coaxial cable, then a Comet Window Feed-Thru Jumper may be the problem solver that you need! Comet Window Feed-Thru Jumpers are flexible, 50 ohm, flat feedline assemblies with SO-239 UHF female connectors at each end. They are used for routing RF through a window frame without drilling holes in the wall or leaving a window/door open for the coax cable or connectors. These window-gap jumpers are almost 16 in. long and are made from copper-clad steel and PET plastic to allow for a low power transfer of RF with a nominal loss of only 0.5 dB up to 500 MHz, and they are useable up to 1300 MHz! Whether you route it through a sliding door or window, you can close the door or window securely without damaging the coax!
