Perfect DIY aquarium cooling fan, right size for a 40 gallon breeder, did not spend a ton of money in a aquarium chiller or a brand aquarium cooling fan. My temp went from 88F to 79F in 3 hours, I will tell my friends in the hobby about this for sure!

Quiet and works great.

The fan is extremely flimsy and cheap. I was expecting a better quality. Fells like it was made from the cheapest materials possible and doesn’t have any quality control. Since this is an electric item, safety is a legit concern and I won’t be surprised if one day the plastic sides might start melting due to the voltage and improper quality. Fan is also not quite strong… if you are further than 3 feet from it you will not feel it at all.. it only works if you are in less than 2 feet from it.

I would give a 5 but the clip will not stay in place. I want to put the clip upright but it falls upside down; the clip is not strong enough to stay upright.

Liked size and ability to run 24/7.used for bedtime breeze.

Almost five years later and this cheap lil fan is still kicking

i already had a usb-powered clip-on fan, so I got this ac-powered fan in hopes it would be stronger. Its actually weaker than the usb-powered one. It does have 2 speeds -- the off position is in the middle, and then on either side of that you get a lower speed or a higher speed. Due to the low output, you would use this positiioned fairly close to you, like 3 feet.

I live and work on a ship in the Bering Sea. You can see in my pic how I jury rigged the fan into my bunk, right next to my head. It gets hot and stuffy inside ship bunks with the curtain closed. This great fan solves both those problems. The cord is long enough to extend to an outlet. I see other customers wanting a fan that produces zero noise for their perfect controlled office world - well, I appreciate the gentle level of noise produced by the fan when its on the high setting. It creates a solid white noise to fall asleep to. Having it right next to my head help drown out the rest of the noise made by all the nonsense going on in the 24hr running ship. So I slept better with cycled air and white noise with the fan. Good fan.
