My review is titled new life because people now have a new option for quality luggage kits and its called cool life, hence, new life. I spent in total about 12 hours of research (within a one week span) looking for a 3 piece luggage set that would be of high quality and not too hard on my pocket. With this Cool Life set, I feel people have a new brand to choose from other than Samsonite and the more expensive brands. All u hear about when searching for a luggage kit is Samsonite, Samsonite. I dont have anything against them, they make beautiful, superior quality luggage sets. In fact, I was about to take a bite myself and purchase the Samsonite Omni set. But Im glad I went for the Cool Life and saved a decent amount of money. If youre not a frequent traveler, then this kit is right for u. If you travel weekly, please dont purchase this set and then bash it up in a disappointed review. That would be misleading and unfair. But Im almost sure that if this set caught your eye its because of the low price, and at this point youve decided to dig into reviews because you want to know if youll be using your budget money wisely. Well I want to confirm that yes, great deals do exist at this price. I absolutely love mines and Im sure you will love yours too. When it arrives at your door step youll see just why this is an Amazons choice. I know all the reviews about hard shells breaking, smashing, etc make it awfully difficult to make a decision. These things will happen with any brand u choose to go with. No luggage is indestructible, but this one is backed by a pretty solid warranty and that alone gives peace of mind. Im glad I made this purchase and I want to recommend it to you. Theres just so much good things to say about it but if I write it all Ill be composing a story here and that wouldnt be too influential would it? Youre gonna have to do lots of research yourself, decide on a budget, select the features you want, and purchase. If u go with this one, rest assured you wont be disappointed. ** A word about the famous TSA approved locks. As I was passing thru the DFW international airport, I couldnt help but ask a TSA agent how this lock is friendly to them. He said look, I dont know whats the hype about these locks, but we, at least I, dont have any key whatsoever to open such locks. If there is something inside your luggage that we need to have a closer look at, were gonna find you and bring you to your luggage. But as far as us having a special key or code to open these, we dont. I was a bit disappointed because if there truly was an agreement/understanding between the TSA and luggage manufacturers, Im sure that agent would have given me the answer I was hoping for. I guess all I can say is, dont let this feature play a role in deciding which luggage u gonna buy. Good luck in your decision making cause I surely had a hard time!

We needed new luggage and this three piece set is great for family vacations. The quality is good considering the cost of the set. Purchased blue ones on prime day. Took 28 and 20 inch ones on one trip and so far no issues. The carryon is rather small and didn’t fit as much stuff. The wheels rolled smoothly, it was a breeze to maneuver the case in any direction or way that I wanted! And the color is pretty and easy to spot at baggage claim (we chose the blue) Very pleased!

This is one of the best sets that I’ve purchased in a long time it’s very durable especially if you plan on ever traveling with lower budget airline companies that don’t take care of your luggage this will withstand the abuse.

The materials are thinner than expected. Durability is the question. The hinges seem to be made of fabric only. Side walls are almost soft , too much flex. May not endure baggage handling!

Updating after receiving a replacement (added side by side pictures- summer 2019)... Yes, this suitcase is nice to look at. No this suitcase (at least my experience with the larger one) is NOT durable as advertised. The advertisement reads: Made of lightweight and durable 100% ABS material, with an impact-resistant hard shell, Molded corner guard reinforcements for absorbing and deflecting shock for maximum impact resistance. My first experience with the larger unit of this set is that is lovely to look at and lightweight, but does not have the durability and so-called maximum impact resistance that it is advertised to have the capacity for. Also, just to be aware if you did not catch the updated section of the description, the other two suitcases dont expand (as one would assume from the expandable headline wording- only the larger suitcase expands). I was initially very disappointed, and as someone who travels frequently, found this not worth the buy since it busted (and was not over the 50lb weight limit) after 3 flights. I was able to get a hold of customer service to send pictures and they swiftly (since I was in the midst of traveling) sent me a replacement to the address Ive been staying at while out of town (it didnt come in the color of my set and the wheels, and inside pockets are different) so that I can fly home with a new suitcase. Ill update on whether the suitcase holds up after this flight, and if so, will update when I travel again in November and end of December/January when I have bigger trips... UPDATE Winter 2020: The replacement suitcase that I received is much better quality than the ones purchased as a set (with the raised wheels)- if you want to buy from this company, I would recommend the version with the wheels that are closer to the base of the unit! I would give the replacement suitcase a 4 rating (which I have finally changed this rating to), but the set of suitcases as a whole (because of the large bag that busted so easily) only gets a 2-3 rating. So be conscious when purchasing this set!

Update: I contacted Coolife customer service and they were more than willing to provide excellent customer support by replacing the damage suitcase and allowing me to keep the damaged one to avoid the cost and hassle of returning it. Im giving customer service a five but giving the product a four because although the customer service was excellent, the product itself was disappointing, as it broke the first time I used it. In any event, I am happy with the resolution. I puchased this luggage in June for my travel to Africa. Used for the first time in September and one of the wheels broke off at some point during my travels. While the body seemed to withstand the airport handling, the wheels did not. Now Im not sure if I can replace the wheel or if this suitcase is no longer any good to use on another trip. I have only had this luggage for 3 months, and only used one time.

Okay, I have bought my family 3 sets of this luggage but I am the one who travels most often. The good: I would like to point out that the bags made it comfortably on and off many flights, in and out of cars, hotels, etc. without a problem. Luggage is easy to maneuver and glides like a dream on airport floors. At first glance, this felt as though it was cheap luggage but actually had been very durable until… The bad: the last time I traveled I realized that my midsized 24” bag had been damaged somewhere in transport and some point in time, and now unusable. As it was a wheel problem, the airline wouldn’t take a claim. As the largest one is too large for some flights or traveling needs, this is a big loss in my opinion. Now I’m worried for the rest of this luggage that I’ve purchased in the past year for my family. Honestly, I think it’s awesome that the wheel itself stayed on considering the damage around it. That’s a win for sure, but I won’t trust traveling with it again in its current or even ‘fixed’ state. Would I purchase again? I’m torn. Honestly it was great until it wasn’t.

I love the color and that setting up the code was easy. Inside, it is perfect to organize clothes and shoes. I would have love that the medium bag had the expandable option. I really liked that, in comparison with other brands, the wheels and the outside looked sturdy for the price. However, After the first trip, one of the medium bags wheels broke. it was a nightmare since I was traveling by myself and I had to carry 3 sets of luggage with one malfunctioning and getting stock in elevators and electric stairs, and anything on the floor! I really wanted to love them but my bags where no even heavy. I travel to visit family and always come and go with 2 or 3 bags that way is easier for me to not carry one heavy bag. When buying, just be aware that the wheels brake easily.

These pieces look sharp. I’m was a soft side suitcase lover. Changed my mind: I like these. They’re light enough and move as expected. I bought one Coolife set Fort each of my 16yr old daughters. They love them. I’d buy more for the rest of the family if we needed them. :)

My husband and I went on a cruise recently, and he took my old 24 Samsonite hardshell (which cost more than this whole set when new) while I took the 24 Coolife. He commented several times on how much lighter mine was than his, and how much more smoothly it rolled than the Samsonite. Great color, it easily stands out from the sea of black bags on the carousel. The shell feels a little flimsier than my old Samsonite, but held up well during its maiden voyage. A few scuffs here and there, but that is to be expected. Its roomy on the inside. Only two things would make this better. First, the chrome accents on the handles are not a practical choice - they were all visibly and obviously scuffed and scratched. It would wear much better if these were just solid black, or had a less fragile accent than chrome. The second thing would be the desire to replace the seat belt straps on one side of the bag with another zippered flap like on the other side. I had this on my old Samsonite and I used the heck out of it for a way to compartmentalize all my stuff. Other than that, Im very please with my purchase and Im looking forward to using the whole set on a trip to Australia and New Zealand in a few months.
