Corsair RMX Series, RM850x, 850 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply (Low Noise, Zero RPM Fan Mode, 105°C Capacitors, Fully Modular Cables, Compact Size) Black

My unit came with 2 fixed 8pin CPU cables, but is missing the 4+4 cable. Sadly the Asus ROG Maximus XI dont have enough room to fit a full 8pin connector into the 4pin slot (the board needs both an 8pin and a 4pin CPU power connector).

this is the second time that I have purchased this product and for the second time I got an inoperable unit.

Corsair is great brand, i have RAM of same brand but this was unfortunate. It was DOA and i had really hard time figuring out if there was issue with my built. I was so scared if my mother board had issue or my processor is not good or i did not wired everything proper. but after some trial and error and with help of my old PC power supply i found out that this was cause and replaced with other brand unit!

As always, Corsair delivers a high quality, sturdy product, that is easily installed and is great for any conputer build you could want.

Typical Corsair quality. Quiet and cool. Heavy, good quality. The cables come in a very nice nylon type bag for storing unused cables. Good selection of cables. With the prices of motherboards, CPUs, graphic cards, etc., I dont believe the PSU is a place to skimp on quality. This unit provides excellent quality and peace of mind.

DOA, quality control has gone.

I bought one of these power supplies, it came brand new and did not work, it would not power on, it shut off as soon as I pressed the power button on the PC. So I exchanged it for the same one, it happened again. Brand new, and broken before I opened the box.

This PSU was on sale when I ordered it. I had to contact Amazon support no less than 4 TIMES because it did not ship out to me on time and the shipping date kept slipping. It took 27 days from ordering to having it in my hands, imagine if I needed it in a hurry? The off shore support were mostly polite but completely ineffectual because they are not empowered to actually help. All they seem able to do is provide comfort that it willl ship soon, increase shipping speed (no help when it hasnt shipped), and continually suggest that I cancel my order to relieve their burden. They do not seem to have any way to interface with the warehouses that actually handle orders. It was niceto get a small credit for my trouble that can only be used for items sold and shipped by Amazon (Im not sure how to claim it), but this was an incredibly poor experience buying from Amazon.

First thing I did is throw it on my PS tester before installing, and all voltages were spot-on target. One voltage slightly higher, but well within acceptable parameters.

Just bought this to power my new build, and it works great, I thought 650W was going to be way under powered, however its great! no power issues so far, to be fair Ive disabled all RGBs and stuff that I consider useless, and Im using an onboard NVMe drive instead of a power hungry SSD / HDD... so itll be powered through the MOBOs power.
