This fit into my hp laptop. With it, Win 7 takes up four gigs of memory so this added memory was very necessary for me. I unplugged my laptop, took out the battery, popped cover off, inserted memory, snapped it into place. Cover went back on, battery went back in and I plugged it back in and booted up. Memory was immediately there and the rest is history. Laptop is also my media server. I can wander the house with the laptop and wirelessly it handles the streaming while I work. Everything is fast. I am pleased with this product!
