Greater than one weekI was worried that this memory would bring problems as Apple does not officially support 16 GB of RAM for the 2011 MacBook Pros, let alone PC3-12800 specd modules. I had bought 8 GB of PC3-10600 memory from OWC and had no problems with them, but I run more than 2 virtual machines alongside memory-hungry Mac apps and needed the extra headroom so I took the leap of faith after reading many success stories and despite a few horror ones. I spent about 8 hours running several passes of the Apple Hardware Test, Apple Service Diagnostic, and Memtest and got no problems. Also ran the CineBench tests for hours as well, to get the computer hot and see if the computer crashed when it got very hot for a long time (as bad modules may fail when they get hot) and got no problems. I got a scare less than a week after I got this memory installed when I went to power on my MBP and heard 3 gave beeps (boops?) over and over, which according to Apples Knowledge Base articles HT2341 and HT2538 meant the memory test failed at POST. I just powered it off, powered it on again and a month later hasnt failed again (knock on wood). Performance increase is about 33% compared to when I had 4 GB and about 18% compared to when I had 8 GB. The Windows 7 Experience Index shoot up to 7.8 out of 7.9 in the memory performance category. The only downside seems to be that this modules need much more juice and the battery doesnt seem to last as long. All in all, a worthy upgrade.

> 3 dayNot my first RAM installation, but this one has given me nothing but a headache. After putting it in combination with my OEM 4gb RAM in my Asus NV56VJ, I recieved blue screens every other hour. After removing that and keeping only this, I started receiving hard drive failure messages for the past month since Ive installed it (I ran a check on my hard drive and it was fine, so Im assuming there was a problem with the RAM). After factory resetting my laptop, Ive recieved much fewer errors but they still come up intermittently. On the other hand, it did provide a noticeable speed boost to my laptop, and I should utilize their lifetime warranty, but unfortunately Im in Poland right now, so I will update this review depending on their warranty and if a replacement works better.
