> 24 hourI am using this to optically isolate the ethernet connection between two buildings. This device works with PoE or power supply which provides great flexibility.

> 24 hourThese PoE media converter work great and they are of good value. I got this product to use with my computer for my security system.

> 24 hourIf youre a networking professional then these are exactly what it says on the tin, and good quality. To everyone that might be confused, these are kind of like magic. Im just spanning a small distance, but one where I cant run an ethernet cable. This let me run a fiber optic cable (thinner, non-metallic, more heat-resistant) and its fully transparent. the computer at the other end thinks its connected directly to the switch (or router) and its working like magic.

> 24 hourThey are small, unobtrusive, and they provide plenty of power. I needed it for an access point that I put in my house and love it. Much easer than trying to deal with either external power, or the expense of a POE switch. . . Will work with security cameras too as long as they support POE (which a lot of home consumer cameras dont, so make sure yours does befor you go buying the wrong stuff). Great little device!

> 24 hourWe added a bank of cameras in the back of our 48,000 sq. ft. warehouse. This is my first time using fiber, but we ran the line and connected the two POE switches together with the fiber cable and successfully added 6 cameras in the back using CAT-6 lines from the backend POE switch. This solution works very well and was pretty much just plug and play with no configuration for the fiber portion of the run. I will be using these for any future runs.

> 24 hourThis device converts single mode fiber via POE ethernet. The devices appear to have a power input on them so I assume if you found the correct power adapter you could use them without POE. With POE they work as intended and very handy to have.

> 24 hourYou are getting a reliable high end adapter. It feels premium and offers no drop in connectivity speed whatsoever

> 24 hourThese are really basic fiber to ethernet convertor/transceivers. They are PoE, however, if you do not have a PoE switch, you can pick up a couple of 12v 3a dc power adapters and inject power that way. I was able to get a pretty long long run with these and throughput was decent, however since its single mode and single channel bidirectional traffic will be impacted due to this. I did notice significant latency, however based on the simplicity & the purpose of the setup its completely acceptable. I dont see this as a detractor in the least. I however wish these were the 1GBE version to maximize the potential bandwidth available to the source & target. But they still function as prescribed so I wont be taking any points away for this. If you need a good solution like this, pick up a pair of these, a couple of power adapters as described, and a SC/APC to SC/APC cable in whatever length you need.

> 24 hourThese are exactly what they state - they are easy to set up and use and works for my needed setup. The only thing I wish they stated more clearly is the tip size of the POE adapter needed. Turns out it seems to be a standard 5.5 tip, but its not stated anywhere on the packaging that I could see. I also have not tested the overall speed of these on my setup, but they seem to work as described. They are small enough to easily tuck away without being so small that they seem fragile. The casing is metal with the ends plastic, which is fine. Ill give these a speed test when I get a chance and update as needed based on my personal results.

> 24 hourWires.. We have so many these days between computers, routers, surveillance, alarms ect.. This pair of PoE converters do exactly what they are meant to by simplifying the home connection process and running streams of cords/wires, while being easy to use and low profile enough to keep hidden. They are very light weight and feel thin but seem strong enough and reliably built. The Plug-ins all worked well without any wiggle or loose connections and the port labeling is a nice touch for new users. They are bare bones in appearance and function but just as useful in utility as many of the larger, far more expensive converters Ive owned. A good set that does the minimum, but will do it well for both new comers and veteran users of PoE. Reliable, easy to use, easy to hide and practical for any setup.
