Greater than one weekAfter my stock extruder broke on my ender 3 I bought this to fix it. Its easy to install and high quality. It has fixed my underextrusion issues and looks asthetically pleasing. If you need a replacement extruder this one wont disappoint

07-06-2025You must buy if you have a creality 3d printer. Eventually the plastic one will fail

Greater than one weekThe upgrade works. But do not use the insert in the spring, iy serves zero purpose or adjustability, this will put so much pressure on the filament that it will cause binding problems that mimic a clogged nozzle and troubleshooting becomes a problem as many might work with hot end issues trying to prevent a problem that is not rooted y there but on the extruder.

> 3 daySo as cheap as all the creality brand upgrades are, why tf arent they just included already when you buy the printer. I have had to upgrade this, the build plate, the board, add bl touch and I would have gladly just paid an extra $75 and not have wasted 7 days of print time and $40 in filament from failed prints due to sub par parts. This product was ok, but didnt come with all the screws, I had to go to the hardware store to get it together and get back up and running.

04-06-2025Lord knows how many extruders Ive been through. Landed on this one and never looked back. Its the only reliable extruder Ive used. I just put one on my 3rd printer and have yet to see any quality issues. Save yourself the headache of dual gear and all that other fad garbage, just buy this one and get back to printing!

08-06-2025Im not sure Id consider this a performance upgrade as it pertains to print quality, but its an upgrade in that its less likely to break than the original plastic one. Installed on a Ender 5 Plus. Its a simple 10 minute swap. Note: If you watch the instructional video posted in the Amazon product description, they left out the part that includes where and how to install m3 rivet nut....which is kind of essential if you want the spring tension adjustment to actually work. The included paper instructions do have a diagram that shows where it goes...or just use your old one as a guide. Either way...no biggie. The hardware included also worked fine with my machine...but some reviewers have suggested that screws were missing and/or too short. I suppose results may vary. p.s. The Ender 5+ I have is from Comgrow. The brass stepper extruder pulley that came stock with my machine is pressed on to the stepper shaft. Meaning it has no grub screws and no D shaft. This means I had to re-use what came with my machine instead of using the brass pulley that came with this upgrade. If yours is the same dont fret. They are the same size. So there should be no compatibility issues. I also found that even with the spring tensioner completely backed out/loose that the extruder was deforming my filament which in turn was causing skipping issues....i.e. the deformed filament was hanging up in the bowden tube. Removing the rivet nut created a bit more clearance to lessen the tension but now my extruder is no longer adjustable. Ive read that Im not the only one with this issue using the Ender printers. Just keep in mind have to fiddle with the tensioner spring to get good results.

Greater than one weekEasy to install. Works great! Solved a lot of my extrusion issues. People might say “level the bed again” or “control your flow/retraction” but you can’t do the second if the plastic extruder is cracked!
