Creative Grids Quilt Ruler 7-1/2in Square - CGR7

This was my 3rd square ruler for my medium sized bags. Love these rulers - they dont slide around because of the grips on the back, theyre easy to read and really durable.

Creative grids grip is amazing. Really worth the extra money IMO.

Works as expected

I am a new quilter, and pretty new to sewing in general. The first quilt I made was a Half Square Triangle pattern, and I cut my squares with a regular ruler. Needless to say, none of my corners matched up. On my second quilt, I wanted a tool to help me get a more professional finish. The Creative Grids 7.5 Square Quilting Ruler was the perfect choice. This ruler allowed me to easily cut the perfect square. It is clear, hard plastic with many types of measurements and grids which allows you to place the ruler in the best spot possible. Im really happy with this purchase, it allowed me to up my game a little more on the finish of my quilts.

A block of 7 1/2 is unusual but this ruler was a life and time saver. I didnt have to guess using 6 1/2 or 8 1/2 rulers.

It just arrived, so I havent used it yet, but even so, I am very impressed with the quality, the fact that it doesnt smell, and that it lies FLAT!! My other cutting mats do not, and that causes issues in cutting accuracy. I have not doubt that this mat will perform as expected. Actually, I bought two mats, to place side by side for a larger cutting surface. The company said that would work, and it does.

It was hard to use since I have a picture in the middle of the square. I would of like to have the square have a 1/4 inch boarder all the way around the square in stead of the way it is marked.

Though not pictured, this ruler does have the white and black circles to help differentiate the 1/2 markings from the whole numbers in the updated versions of these rulers.
