Creative Grids Quilt Ruler 7-1/2in Square - CGR7

It was hard to use since I have a picture in the middle of the square. I would of like to have the square have a 1/4 inch boarder all the way around the square in stead of the way it is marked.

I am so glad to have found this ruler (thank you, Amazon for carrying it) and thanks to Creative Grids for making it! I am in the middle of making a quilt for my pregnant daughter and needed to square up the blocks before sewing them together. The blocks are supposed to measure 7.5, but I was having a hard time finding a ruler with those dimensions. Lots of 9.5 and 12.5 and even 8.5, but no 7.5 until I found it here. Why didnt I try Amazon to begin with?! The ruler is clear with gripper dots on the back to hold the ruler steady while you use the rotary cutter to trim up your block or for other cutting duties. I plan to purchase some of the other sizes Creative Grids offers and Amazon sells.

I am a new quilter, and pretty new to sewing in general. The first quilt I made was a Half Square Triangle pattern, and I cut my squares with a regular ruler. Needless to say, none of my corners matched up. On my second quilt, I wanted a tool to help me get a more professional finish. The Creative Grids 7.5 Square Quilting Ruler was the perfect choice. This ruler allowed me to easily cut the perfect square. It is clear, hard plastic with many types of measurements and grids which allows you to place the ruler in the best spot possible. Im really happy with this purchase, it allowed me to up my game a little more on the finish of my quilts.

Great. Black and clear numbers and lines are easier to read and it doesnt slip around. I have been replacing all my old ones with these.
