I turned an antique Acer Extensa 5620E (which I bought for $5 -- not a typo) into a fully functional and, dare I say it, fast machine by taking out the Windows 7 hard drive, replacing it with this SSD and installing Linux MX-17. The SSD fit into the old caddy snug as a bug in a rug. The whole process, both the physical replacement and the installation of the OS, took less than 30 mins with a glass of wine in hand. Like magic, you can turn the most glacial outdated hardware into something modern and usable with the dynamic duo of Linux and a $25 SSD.

This is the 2nd SSD I bought from Crucial and I honestly do not have any complaints at all. It is cost-efficient compared to other brands out there and it does the job. Highly recommended.
