Easy to install if you know how to disassemble your computer. If you do not know how to change the hard drive then download the service manual for your computer. SSDs have better durability and better speed compared to magnetic disks, and this BX500 is no exception, so whats not to like? One thing is the capacity, which is why I use mine as a cache for my larger-capacity magnetic disks. That way, I get the speed on the files I use most, and still have the cheaper space of the magnetic disks. These also have a very small physical size, and I havent yet figured out a good way to mount them inside a standard desktop case, but thats a minor consideration.

I couldnt believe that my new laptop was lagging and taking up to 20 minutes to open some websites. If you spend at least $1000 on a laptop, this should not happen, specially If it is one with good features, and, according to best buy, the original HD was working fine. SO, this little investment on this wonderful SSD fixed the issue. My laptop is running better than most of the $2000 laptops i work with everyday.

Bought this as a supplementary drive in a base unit on my Mac mini. Perfect for the job, simple push fit install and immediately up and running. Easy to set up Time Machine backups locally and also a partition for the remainder of the drive to be used as additional storage. Good value so very happy.
