> 24 hourUsing Crucials web based tool, both drives are flagged with firmware errors. They cannot be updated with the tool. This appears to be a common problem based on Google searches. Crucial support is non exeistent on this issue based on reports. I would advise buying a different brand SSD.

> 24 hourCall me old school but I do still prefer HDDs for longer term storage. But if you need speed, Crucial is hard to beat. I put this drive in a mid-2012 MacBook Pro and it boots to the desktop in about 20 seconds. Enough said.

I’ve had it since late 2013, I had already upgraded the ram from 6GB to 16GB, but that only helped with multi tasking, the computer would still startup slow, open stuff slow. Found this was a direct fit replacement for my 500GB HD and this also has a better read/right speed and upped to 1Tb. Good solution for me, laptop runs better than new
