I added this memory to the available slot in my Dell Inspiron 5000. The laptop took a while to start and the message was that available memory has changed. Once clicked continue, it recognized the memory and there were no issues for subsequent restarts. I downloaded and installed crusialscan.exe from crucial website. The program ran a check of the laptop and suggested add on compatible memory and SSDs. Happy camper so far.

Easy to install into laptop, restart, GB is good to go. I YouTubed it for my specific laptop. Needed an upgraded computer for remote work and this saved me from buying another.

This RAM works perfectly for upgrading a Synology DS220+ NAS from the built-in 2GB of RAM to 6GB. The installation is painless and DSM recognizes the added RAM without problems. Highly recommended if you find your RAM usage on your NAS to be too high.
