I added this memory to the available slot in my Dell Inspiron 5000. The laptop took a while to start and the message was that available memory has changed. Once clicked continue, it recognized the memory and there were no issues for subsequent restarts. I downloaded and installed crusialscan.exe from crucial website. The program ran a check of the laptop and suggested add on compatible memory and SSDs. Happy camper so far.

Compatibility with my new Acer Aspire 5 Laptop. Seems to speed processing and allowing multiple apps running simultaneously.
