I purchased and paid extra for the stainless steel ball to stop rust. I had the ball for 2 weeks, it was not on the vehicle that entire time, the shank was covered with rust. I called Curt Industries, after shufling me 3 times from answering, to customer service, to technical support, they told me the ball is not stainless steel, it is only covered with stainless steel and it was going to rust. They told me to return it.

We pull a large and very heavy mobile kitchen. This ball hitch gives me the piece of mind, security, and confidence going down the road.
