Greater than one weekDont get me wrong, the color and product Amethyst is magnificent. This beautiful color dries with a lovely glitter. My only complaint is that now I have to be diligent about buying a 5ml tube vs the 15ml tubes which I always purchase. I purchased this product, got in a 5ml tube, returned it and purchased the 15ml product. Amazon was totally great about the return, as always. Get this color, you will not regret it.

> 3 dayThis product looked a little beat up around the top of the tube. Was this a Used tube? I do not understand how to insert the product link. Daniel Smith makes a good product.

Greater than one weekI love Daniel Smiths watercolors but I am not sure about this Cobal Violet. The consistency is very similar to childrens finger painting paint. It doesnt bloom easily in water when you mix with it. Interaction with water is somewhat different and that makes me think this is not easy to use.

> 3 dayJust adore Daniel Smith Fine Watercolors!! Used Windsor & Newton FOREVER and then tried these, built a new palette with just DS and never touch my WN palette anymore!!! Best way I can explain it, it feels like the pigment and binder ratio is pigment condensed, has considerable less shrinkage in my palette 1/2 pans and responds faster with a heavy brush load using just a touch of water - in comparison. I’ve become a triple fan of DS fine pigments.

Greater than one weekI love this color! A dark mysterious blue perfect for a stormy sky! Or do an entire picture in combination with DS Quinacridone Gold. Endless possibilities!

Greater than one weekSo, yes, you could probably figure out the formula for moonglow by mixing colors, but having this on hand saves a lot of time. What a gorgeous color! I like using it in place of Payne’s Grey in neutrals. It’s beautiful alone but it also mixes nicely with other dark hues from different brands.
