I went through 3 tubes of this stuff filling old woodwork nicks, holes and scratches. They were natural wood that I was painting white to give our house a modern look. A couple of them were a bit thicker than toothpaste, and I needed a runnier consistency, like drywall mud. I sucked a bit of water into them (1/2 teaspoon, say), then kneaded them to make it just right.

This product is runny, crumbly-lumpy, hard to work with, and doesn’t work well at all on vertical surfaces. I tried to use this to fix a small, minor scratch/dent in a bedroom door (furniture movers). I thought this sounded perfect: small problem, easy fix. BUT, it made the damage look MUCH worse than the original problem (I wish I’d taken a before picture). :-( It’s probably perfect for filling picture nail holes in walls (but so is Elmer’s glue). It’s crumbly and chalky when dry. Definitely needs a top-coat to seal it in (if you’re trying anything like fixing the minor dented door like I did). Cleans up easily with liquid dish soap and water. Overall, I can find easier, cheaper ways to cover picture nail holes that will look a lot better: Elmer’s glue and some talcum powder, done. My door? Sanding off this mess and fixing it a different way.

I have a puppy who enjoys eating the corners of my baseboards. I used this to fill in the area that was eaten off (shaping it with painters tape) and allowing it to dry for two days, sanded it down to shape, painted, done! Can’t even tell it was chewed up and missing. MUCH easier than having to replace the entire board.

The filler easily comes out of the tube in a good consistency for filling wood holes, cleans up easily, and dries hard. I wish it would come in a wider variety of colors.

Ive used this product with different color so I knew the quality of it. The color is much better for me to apply on the floor of what I have.

I use this to fill brad holes on trim. Sands really easily and paint adheres well. Perfect for covering the holes.

Due to moving the dresser from point A to point B, the dresser has a large triangle piece that is missing from the top of the dresser. This product filled the piece. The product is easy to sand and now I can easily stain or paint the dresser for a better complete look. Now should I paint it harlequin, Picasso, or browish blonde old-fashioned or maybe Martha Stwart chrome? Suggestions welcome. I have no style.

Great product! Best one that I’ve used. The only complaint that I have is that the tube was only half filled. It was more like 4 ounces, not 6 as I had expected. I don’t remember this to be a problem when I’ve purchased this at a retailer store. I don’t think that I’ll purchase this product through Amazon again. I’ll just make a run to the hardware store next time and make sure that the tube is completely filled.

Gotta give a dap to this company. I love to save time on sanding by avoiding fillers that become way too hard after fully cured. DAP SAVES TIME From the product shown above to the $1.15 tube of caulking that I use for most houses we paint for a living
