These are by far the best socks I have that feature an outhouse on them.

I Love, Love these socks. My husband and I have several pairs, short, mid-calf and calf heights. Hiking and running trails in these socks is great! No complaints and Darn Toughs return/wear out policy cant be beat.

Best socks to own

I want to love these socks. I really do. They are awesome at first. But after the first time they are washed they shrink to the point I cant get them on my feet. Originally ordered the large which according to my shoe size is what I needed. Washed once and dried on warm as the directions stated. Couldnt get them on my feet past the arch support section. So thinking maybe I needed an XL I ordered that. Same problem....the length is fine on both pairs after washing. But that arch support shrinks out of control. I did notice the L and XL feel the same width when they are new. The difference is the XL are small bit longer. Such a disappointment.

Upon putting these on, I immediately noticed that the instep (where the tongue on a shoe lays) was very bunchy and caused mild annoyance in the flexing of it. I didn’t even want to attempt to try with a shoe for fear of exacerbating the issue even further. Compared to a recent pair of Smartwool hiking socks that laid better and looked far more colorful, I’m afraid I had to return these as the last thing I need hiking across a landscape is discomfort in the most flexible part of my foot. Nothing wrong with the quality of the craftsmanship, just the uncharacteristic flex is not for my slim foot and looks a little bland as the best part of the colors are buried further up and down at the bottom of the sock.

Great warm socks that really wear well!

Really like the thickness. Keeps feet warm and and comfortable for 10 hour workday. The durability and comfort is great enough for me to replace all my socks with these.

Can’t kill these socks. I wore them on a mission trip to Africa and backpacked 150 miles over rough terrain with a 40-lbs pack and they were still great when I returned to the states and washed them. They are worth the price and Amazon gets them to your door fast.
