I decided to use these adapters to provide power to my wireless cameras via a parallel daisy chain configuration. The only caveats here are 1) waterproofing your connections when using them outdoors 2) selecting the correct gauge wire for the number of devices in the daisy chain, and 3) connecting the correct wattage power supply to the main feeder connection. Updates to follow.

I have purchased these before and needed to restock. They work great and can be repurposed quickly.

Cant live without these thinks if youre a crazy tinkerer, like myself. Use them all over to connect things to my isolated 12V solar home wiring for pretty much anything that will take 12V. Much more efficient than converting 120V down.

As long as you have a good way to evenly cut and strip electrical wires these connectors will do very well for you with low voltage DC loads (say 24 volts or less). Be careful when you are connecting these under load. It is possible to bridge the + and - sides of the connector (get a spark) with the outside of the other connector. JUST MAKE THE CONNECTION CAREFULLY AND YOU WILL BE FINE.

I bought these along with a 100ft spool of 16AWG bi-color wire for some lighting systems. I could get the wires in only be stripping and aggressively twisting the strands together. I thought that maybe the jacket was too thick on the spool so I took these connectors to the hardware store. NONE of the 16GA wires would fit into the terminals. 18GA fit perfectly.

My wife and I have a project to connect Early Hallmark Star Trek ornaments to a current garland with incandescent lights. The original design of the ornaments was meant to plug them into an incandescent socket on a string of lights. The lights available today are not compatible with the ornament connecters. The first problem was finding a string of lights that burned incandescent bulbs at 3volts alternating current. We found a garland at Walmart that met that criteria. I bought these male to female connecters to be able to connect and disconnect the ornaments from the garland. My wife easily connected the male component to the ornament by bending the metal pieces in the socket and removing the plastic casing. She then shrink-wrapped the wire closest to the socket head, bent the wires 90 degrees, and screwed them into the male component. Meanwhile, I worked on the garland lights, which were wound very tight around the garland wire. This turned out to be a slow task to mate the female end to the garland. Once the job was completed, the female attached very nicely to the male component, and the ornament worked well.

I use them for all my power supply wiring for my Halloween Props. They work great and have never had a problem with any of them, and I have order many of them.
