> 3 dayI have 2 of the 24” versions of these monitors, and I’ve been using them for about 2.5 years now and they’re great. I actually just came back to the page for it to get mounting details because I’m about to mount them on the wall for the first time. 2.5 years later and they’re still my main monitors and still work great like the day I got them.

> 3 dayTo be clear, this is a review of the 24 model, not the 27. Ive only had it for a couple days, so Ill have to wait and see whether my long-term experience matches my initial impressions, but so far it has met all my expectations. Easy to assemble and hook up, with no stuck pixels or other cosmetic issues. It only comes with an HDMI cable so I had to buy a DisplayPort cable separately but thats not a big deal. Also, I was pleased to discover that it does indeed support G-Sync. The store page listings gave me the impression that the 24 and 27 models both support FreeSync but only the bigger one had G-Sync, so when I ordered the smaller one I expected to have to figure out how to make FreeSync work with my PCs Nvidia card. But the actual packaging (and a sticker on the stand base) make it clear that the 24 one absolutely does support G-Sync too, and once I had it connected it was easy to enable it from the Nvidia control panel. Im upgrading from a basic 60 hz office-style monitor, so Ive immediately noticed a big difference when gaming. My PC isnt particularly powerful, so most games cant stay above 100 fps without turning down the graphics settings, but even running at 80-90 fps, everything feel noticeably smoother. The 1 ms response time also makes a big difference there - my old monitor had an input lag of something like 8 ms. And G-Sync seems to be doing its job as far as avoiding tearing or stuttering, and even when I keep the graphics settings high and allow the framerate to fluctuate, it still feels smooth. The overall image also looks brighter, clearer and sharper, with noticeably more vibrant colors. Thats especially true when gaming but it even applies just to web browsing. As gaming monitors go, this one is pretty much the most affordable option without sacrificing quality, so its probably outclassed by most other gaming screens, but if youre upgrading from a generic 60 hz monitor its a substantial improvement. My only complaint is that, for whatever reason, the default gamma setting is way, way too high, so when I first plugged it in the whole thing looked really washed out, with colors that were actually less bright than on my old monitor. At first I thought it was a contrast problem so I tried to fiddle with the monitors own contrast and brightness settings but that didnt work. But then I went into the Nvidia control panel and turned the gamma down by about 30% and voila - instant fix.

> 3 dayA few things to note for those interested in buying this monitor. - The default colors look awful and will disappoint you at first. But dont fear, a few setting tweaks and it will look fantastic! - Ghosting issues come when trying to use the Extreme Response time setting while connected to HDMI. Use a Display Port to use this monitor to its full potential - Make sure you pay attention when setting the resolution with NVIDIA Control Panel. If you pick Ultra HD 1080p, 1920x1080 (native) setting you will only see a 120hz max refresh rate. You need to make sure you choose PC, 1920x1080 to unlock 144hz

Greater than one weekThis is my fault, the product was great but the driver issues I had were insane. Once I plugged in the monitor, the monitor had tearing issues and also disconnected my other monitor. Also, the monitor would only go up to 63 fps before installing drivers. After installing new drivers and restarting my computer, the problems were fixed.

> 3 dayFirst monitor was bad, replacement is fine. Both units I received make electronic noise while turned on so they used some Very cheap internal parts in this unit. Picture is better on colors than other TN monitors I have used in the past. One thing that stands out about this monitor is the all black design is much better than 99% of other ugly designs of monitors, this look is much appreciated. At $170 being cheaper than most of its competitors it was a fair purchase. However if you can find a better price and you like the specs/design I would say go for that instead nothing too special about this monitor. One major reason I bought this monitor is for a TN panel because 144hz with less motion blur and faster response than other panel types. Also its appreciated that this monitor uses a flat panel and Not curved. Important thing to note is Dell is a jerk and does NOT include a DisplayPort cable, So if you want 144hz and Free/Gsync youll need to spend an extra $10 making real Total price about $195. About 4 years ago I had 144hz monitor for $150 that came with DisplayPort cable, so as with most things price is inflated during Covid times. If your tight on a budget MonoPrice.com I see has an openbox 144hz monitor for $130 and regular price $150 for that monitor. I hope my review was helpful!

> 3 daythis is a great monitor if you can get it for 150 like I did, I had been using a 60 hz monitor for a while and the difference is bigger than you would think defiantly recommend

> 3 dayPretty.. okay picture. Reminds me of the old school 4:3 lcd monitors, how the picture was washed out. Normally, I spend a good amount of time tweaking the picture settings to get it looking good, this monitor doesnt seem to have that ability. (At least not for game mode) so the best I could get is not very good. In the image, the monitor is on the left and the TV on the right is very accurate. Hope this helps to understand what youre getting. Again, everything else is great. The pixel blur effect is mild, easy to play games on. But everything else about this monitor is fantastic, especially for the price.

> 3 dayVery good monitor for the price, my last monitor was an alienware 25 240hz, i was afraid that 144hz was going to be an step down, but honestly you cant tell the difference. monitor size is perfect, and to me the best feature is that auto switches source input when detected or needed.

> 3 dayThis was a good purchase for a nice 144 hz monitor. The color needed some adjusting but it wasnt anything that couldnt be fixed with NVidia control panel.

> 3 dayThis monitor performs exactly as I intended it to. If you need a sharp image, good refresh rate, g-synch, with a brand you can trust, this is it. I had no problems unpacking it, setting up the stand that came with the monitor, or using the controls on this monitor. Everything about it was simple and easy to use. For me, a feature I ended up really liking but didnt anticipate was the automatic screen switch. It recognizes if my laptop or xbox is on and automatically switches. It is smart enough though, to not switch back and forth when both are on. This monitor is good value, performs as expected, and was easy to set up. 5/5
