I am quite pleased with this product. Yes, it is hard to snap the pieces together but I found with two sets of hands and two pliers it went together easier. Must snap both sides at one time. I like the extra length of the spindles. Once assembled it is quite sturdy.

It is heavy plastic but is not made for tall or wide Embroidery thread. It is perfect for regular spools and can put bobbins there also.

This version snaps together, rather than requiring screws (slightly less expensive version from the same company). Snapping together is worth the $2. I recommend using two medium pliers to get enough pressure to get the pieces to snap into place, but once done it is very tight and sturdy. Pins also snap into place and are quite secure. Pins are tall enough to hold 2 spools or numerous bobbins. I bought 4 and am reveling in the organization!

Im so happy with this thread rack that I bought two. I like the bright white color and the sturdiness of the plastic. There are no rough edges like Ive experienced with some wood racks. Yes, they are a little difficult to assemble. I ended up using a kitchen towel as extra padding in my hand when snapping the pieces together. That worked well for me. Hanging them on the wall was quite simple too. I hung them top to bottom so it looks like one unit instead of two separate ones. I really like the long spindles. They are so long that I am able to put the matching bobbin under the spool so they wont get separated. The spacing between spindles is enough that I can use Peels on an almost full spool of thread and it still fits next to another. Sizing reference for my pictures: Top spools with netting - base is 1 ½ wide - spool is 2 ⅛ high - 1100 yard spool Bottom spools with Peels - spool is 1 ½ wide and 3 high - 1200 yard spool

I ordered two of these and they came today. Ive read where people had trouble putting these together and so did I - with the first one. For the second one I put it together in record time. What I found that helped me was to use only one of the side bars (the zig zag part) and then snap each of the spool rows into that one side. This lines up all the spool rows for the other side so that its easier to then snap the remaining ends to the zig zag side bar. Hope that makes sense. Seems very sturdy for plastic and Im very happy with this purchase.

Longer dowels permit stacking double thread. Nice!

I originally purchased 2 to hold my threads. Who has only enough thread for 2 holders? Not me! My husband finally got tired of the thread being in baskets and ordered me another on for Christmas. They attach easily to the wall and can be taken down with thread on them to move. They are not flimsy and have long tods to support the taller threads like Floriani. The only thing I gave a problem with is if you used RA thread the base is wider and it is hard to remove the thread next to it. I still could use more of these. I am always buying new threads! Lol
