> 3 dayPossibly bought for wrong purpose, but intended to use to cut Aluminum Deck Railing posts and rail sections with my miter saw. In short, it didn’t work well at all. Cut was very hard and it seemed more like it was melting the aluminum than cutting. If you need to do such a job, use a standard carbide tip general purpose blade or higher tooth aluminum purpose carbide blade. Maybe it’d work better for thinner ferrous metals?

Greater than one weekI have no idea the life of this type of metal-cutting blade; ones with teeth cost 5 times as much. For my needs (cutting down the legs on a metal bed frame) I wasnt concerned about longevity. I figured a DeWalt-labeled product would perform well and this did. Cut through four 2x1x1/8 metal supports like through butter. A little deburring with an old pocketknife and the job was done.
