Diamond K400S-NMO Lip Mount, 2-axis Adjustable Antenna Vehicle Mount

The mount may work great (still waiting for my diamond antenna) and did mount well to my Jeep hood; however, I had to leave two stars because I didn’t get what I ordered. The adapter that was supposed to be included (and would have been if I had just bought the mount from HRO) wasn’t in the package. I ended up being stuck ordering another adapter and hoping it would get to me on same day shipping.

Easy to install. The small coax and small SMA connector make it easy to snake through the firewall (or anywhere) and the PL259 adapter is included. Looks top quality and very strong.

This mount was installed on my 2021 Chevy Silverado for my ham radio. It is sturdy, fastens tightly, and the slim coax allowed for easy pass through my fire wall.

Mount was easy to install, and after a 1000+ mile road trip with hundreds of rough off-road miles, is still rock solid and not a scratch on my hood. Strong and doesnt leave a trace. Excellent mount.

I bought this for a HAM radio antenna for my Jeep after a YouTuber recommended it. Quality appears to be excellent. I really like how you can adjust the angles easily with high flexibility and the paint protection/anti-rattle pads. I don’t like the way the ground wire works (basically just tighten a tiny screw through your paint until it hits metal)... this likely isn’t a good long term connection strategy for a high vibration application. It’s early days, but already I’m thinking a better placement is in the rear behind the spare. I had wanted it on the opposite corner from my CB to avoid interference if both were on at once, but I think pragmatically this isn’t likely to ever happen and I’d rather have a cleaner look and no sight line interference.

I installed this on the hood of my Wrangler with no issues. The included cable is good quality, and thin enough to snake through the firewall with ease. I paired it with a Midland antenna and GMRS radio, and it actually improved my reception. Could be the location, could be the quality of this product. Who knows, but I’ll take it.

This is one of few mounts that works with my Nissan Juke. Looks great, easy to install, flexible mounting options. Wish the SMA connect had a rotatable barrel sleeve, I have to turn my handset to screw it in.

Car hoods or bonnets depends on wyl Nissans have composite type hoods and you gotta run a ground to your battery off of it. other than that it is a great mount and on this install for this vehicle or type hood I wouldnt put a tall flexing antenna unless you reinforce what it is mounted to.

I bought one, and my son bought one too. I use Yaesus ATAS-120A with the Diamond Antenna K400S mount. Solid, durable.
