> 3 dayThe dirt devil works well and it was a good price. But it looks like it used to include a carpet tool, which would be handy in my car cleaning my dogs fur. Looking back the description does not say it would be included so I guess that was my fault for not reading more closely.

> 3 dayI used this vacuum to clean my car interior. I found that using just the flip attachment was easier and better than using the included brush and hose. I am very happy with the results.

> 3 dayI bought this for my fireplace and the woodstove, to clean up as I go... Works perfectly for the dust and bits of bark & wood that used to be everywhere. Zoom! It WORKS! I am especially stoked about this fireplace vacuum because I purchased a different one from a store - and it had ZERO power. well, not exactly zero, but very close. This one has POWER. I love it!

Greater than one weekThis has to be absolutely hands down the best little hand back on the market! Leave it to Black & Decker! Suction is so hard if I turn it on in midair I get a kickback as if it was a little pistol lol - and it is! Brings freshening joy and cleanliness into my life with ease and maneuverability, every part of it is wonderful. I dont think I would ever want a different brand in this model is fantastic. The price is amazing. Im sure with it being Black & Decker itll last a long time too.

Greater than one weekPurchased this to vacuum out my truck. I get a lot of sand in the area where I live. Worked great. Plenty of suction and I like the fact that it is corded so I never have to be concerned about it being charged or about the battery losing power before I am through with the job. Gets into crevices well also. Hopefully will not have to but I would purchase again.

> 3 dayThis is fantastic for picking up cat litter and food. I have a very and I mean VERY large cat. He is so big he has to go to the vet in a dog kennel and in order to fit in the largest litter box made, his head has to stick out the front. After turning around, burying his recent deposit.....he then turns back around and practically hurls himself from the litter box. Needless to say, he kicks up a lot of litter then finds its way to the floor...all around the litter box. This is a dream for cleaning that up. I run it several times a day around the box (after each new deposit) after I clean the box contents and put them in the litter genie. It has made keeping the area clean, a breeze. Now, in addition to his feline gymnastics, vaulting out of the box), he eats like he is entered in an extreme eating competition for cats. He cant seem to eat and leave things in his bowl...he has to zoom his head around his bowl causing food to fly out. I dont want ants so I want to get it up off the floor asap (though I am not as fussy about it as I am litter cleanup). This works great for that as well (I could put the food back in his bowl but apparently he has some demented version of the 3 second rule. Once it touches the ground, if he sees it go back in the bowl, the whole bowl is contaminated). The sound of the vacuum does not scare him THAT badly but he does not like it. I also love that this came with a shoulder strap, hose and attachment. The only advice I would give is to carefully read this. I thought it said cordless. My mother has one of these and hers is cordless, so I assumed and did not take time to really read this. It is CORDED (though not sure why I am saying that as it clearly states it is corded but maybe others may fall prey to their own slipshod idiocy). You can only go as far as the cord will reach but this works for me. All in all.....I could not be happier

> 3 dayI bought it to use on dog hair that accumulates on the stairs. Theres an outlet downstairs located near the bottom of the stairs, and with the addition of a 30 extension cord I can get the stairs in one go without having to stop half way up and plug into a different outlet. The cord length of the appliance is reasonable, I just wanted it longer. It has good suction power and works well for its intended purpose. Measuring the current draw with a P3 Kill-A-Watt meter shower that with 120V line voltage the vacuum pulls 4.97 amps with a clean filter. That drops down to 3.98 if I hold my hand over the air inlet for a few seconds. The amp rating in the add copy is put there by marketing and their number is probably a peak startup current measured when the unit is first switched on. Do bigger numbers sell more units? The vacuum is much better than a cordless vac in duration (naturally) and suction power both. The built in crevice tool is a nice feature that allows me access to much tighter places than it would otherwise be able to reach. So far the crevice tool is holding up well for me. The power switch is fairly easy to operate and stays firmly in position when you release it. The dirt cup and filter are easy to take off, clean, and put back on. Its small size and light weight make using it a breeze. And that brings me to the only down side. I wish it had exhaust air deflectors to direct the air coming out of it to the rear instead of the sides. At times the exhaust air will blow the very dirt and pet hair away from the nozzle one is trying to capture. Especially in small spaces like the stairs. It doesnt get hot, but it does get quite warm after running for a while. Not enough for me to be a concerned or worry about it. This is pretty much par for the course of any corded vacuum cleaner. I got the unit in January 2021 and today is 2021/August/30. Its still going strong after a number of 15-20 minute weekly use cycles.

> 3 dayIve owned several other Dustbuster type vacums, all battery powered. In a word, they all sucked, and not in a good way. After a few months, The Black and Decker Dustbuster would only run for 5 minutes. After reading multiple reviews about how bad the batteries for all these vaccums were, I decided to get the Dirt Devil Scorpion, a corded vacuum. Its way more powerful than any DC vacuum and picks up just about everything in my house. The cord is pretty long so I only have to plug it in to 2 different outlets to clean my whole house (1,000 sq. ft.). Ive also used it to vacuum my car since I have an outlet near my driveway. It is kind of noisy and it does blow a lot of air back through the vents. The other thing is that the filter fills up quickly so I have to clean it out 2X during my house cleaning. At less than $30, its a good deal too (Amazon Used but looked like new). I believe normal price is about $45-Still a good deal). I give it a solid 4 out of 5. Im an AC/DC fan, but in this case, AC definitely beats DC!
