> 3 dayI bought this to keep in our camper. I liked that it is compact but also has some attachments. I really wasn’t expecting much due to the price and size but wow this little thing is pretty awesome! I have a Kirby for my house but it weighs like 100 pounds so I ended up just using this for quick clean ups when I didn’t want to lug the Kirby around. It really does a good job and that’s compared to the crazy suction of my Kirby. I I had one complaint it would be the material that the foam filter sleeve is made of. It’s just porous enough to trap dog hair but not enough to make it easily cleanable otherwise it’s a pretty great deal

> 3 dayPicked the one with a cord intentionally to last longer than cordless. Bought this to vac up the loose litter by the litter box. Works great, sucks it right up. Dont have a problem with it blowing debris from the side vents like some commented. Do wish it had a wider opening to cover more than an inch wide space at a time. I reached out on the dirt devil website and chatted with a representative who told me there is no other attachment that will work with the scorpion model. Wonder if the scorpion+ with the carpet attachment would work on hard floor to suck up loose litter? Will continue to use near litter box, and in car seats and floorboard, and to suck up inside furniture cushions.

> 3 dayThis is a great little vac I wanted a cord because I won’t spend my life living and buying batteries It’s too expensive and very hard to get rid of and bad for the environment Cords are awkward but they work every time

> 3 dayThe hose and brush attachments that come with it are pretty cheap. But it has good suctioning power, and the attached power cable is nice and long.

> 3 dayI was rush-shopping when I got this and did not pay attention to a major spec: it’s tethered to a cord it’s whole life. Lol. Fully my own mistake, but I wanted a cordless hand vac and instead got yet another thing that needs to be plugged in. Unfortunately I’ve used it several times already anyway, so returning is no longer an option. On the upside it has good suction for sure. It is hella loud, it it has very good suction. Dirt devil stuff never gets the best reviews but this is definitely not the worst product I’ve ever used. It is good for small spaces like in between and ottoman and the couch, stairs and by laundry areas. It comes with a bunch of generally useless attachments. I tried using one, the long tubelike extension, and it was fine but just sort of floppy and annoying. I have to hold it straight and it just was an annoying thing to have to do on top of hunching over and scraping the ground. I did not receive the spinning rug attachment that is listed in the manual. I got one that has red velvety strips lining the suction part. Have not used yet. but might be helpful for bedding? I also really wanted something that would work for the car, and I don’t know who’s car is parked 10 ft from a wall outlet but it’s basically not possible. I know there’s comments about plugging it into the car but I don’t have an adapter for that and I’m not about to buy yet another piece for this thing. I feel like it’s honestly kind of useless if you own any other kind of vacuum and have a one-story, or small living space. My bigger, main vacuum got an f*ing sock caught in the tubing and had to be cut out and now the suction just is nonexistent despite many layers of tape. So I got this in a hurry thinking I’d get some extra bonus options for use. Unfortunately, no. It’s ok and it does the job. I gave it 4 stars bc it has serious suction and can get small messes cleaned up quickly. I probably over rated it, but It is easier to drag this thing out than my other big vacuum for sure. But of course you have to be hunched over like Quasimodo to use it. And we all know that once its out and were using it, we will run around and find other things to vacuum up. So its not like you just whip this out for one thing for 4 seconds. You walk around crouched down and bent over scraping the scraping around. I am pregnant and all this thing does right now is hurt me. I’ll deal with it but I will definitely get a proper hand vac soon.

> 3 dayWhat a great purchase! I am a 67 year old, retired apartment dweller that likes to keep my place clean and I just wasnt happy with the way my regular vacuum cleaned using the accessories, so I purchased the Scorpion. The first day I went crazy around my apartment. I pulled all the furniture to the center of the room and went to sweeping around the baseboards. I had to clean out the dust filter three times just in the living room! This little vacuum has tons of suction and picked up stuff I never knew was there. Then I did all the furniture. I usually drag the shop vac out to sweep the car, but no more. The Scorpion did a great job except the flip down nozzle is a little fat to reach down into some tight spots. That wasnt a big deal though. It sucked up gravel easily. I couldnt find anything wrong with this little vacuum. There were some comments about the odor and smelling hot. Not to worry. I used mine for a total of three hours the first weekend and that smell went away after a short time. I would guess it was just an over abundance of lube on the motor bearings or something. Others complained of the noise. Noise equals power. It isnt THAT bad. The cord is long enough for any job around the house, but not handy for storage. I coil it up and stick it through the handle. What hasnt been stated is that it has a place on the back of the handle so the unit can be hung on a hook. That is pretty handy. I am going to purchase extra filters because I had to dust the first one out several times and rinsed it twice. Snapping in a clean one would save some time when you are into the cleaning mood as I seldom am!! I highly recommend the Scorpion. It came very close to 5 stars!!

> 3 dayI am pleasantly surprised by the powerful suction of this little handheld vac. I have had other cordless handheld vacs before and wound up getting rid of them because of poor suction. This little Dirt Devil Scorpion does have a cord, but it is quite long, and I can honestly say that I would gladly trade the cordless function of other mini vacs for the power of this corded vac. In other words, this Dirt Devil Scorpion proves that a cordless feature is totally not worth giving up the power of this corded mini vac. This item is great for a quick pickup or touch-up if you dont want to lug out your big bulky canister or upright vac. I highly recommend this product.

> 3 dayAfter adopting a second cat I couldn’t believe the increase in hair. I get stressed when my house is dirty so I needed something to use between deep cleans. The brush attachment got the hair off my furniture and it also works to clean up the gunk that gets trapped in the cracks of my coffee table, which I used to clean with a toothpick! My only complaint is the deep reaching attachment that flips out from the base broke immediately. Not a big deal for me but worth mentioning. I chose not to buy a portable one because I didn’t want to worry about charging. This little hand vac does the trick for me. I can’t wait to finish my vacuuming! 3 hours later….. I FREAKIN LOVE my new B&D Dirt Devil Scorpion hand-held plug-in, cleaner of all things vacuum!! Omg life changing! Baseboards, couch and loveseat? Yes indeed! Ceiling fans & lampshades? You betcha!! Curtains between washings, dust around doors, & the reason I bought the thing-the ever present litter box spillage? Ah l-Maz-Ing. This little number is my new best friend. UnFreakinBelievable. I don’t know how I cleaned without it. And all for >$30. I’m in Awe!!

Greater than one weekThe vac is powerful enough for most uses, and with a cord, no worries about running out of battery power. The weak link in the system is the puny filter, which clogs up very quickly when picking up dust and dirt. This seriously limits the use and defeats the purpose of having a corded vac for extensive use on bigger jobs. And what does it matter if the dirt container is large, if it all gets sucked to the tiny filter, reducing suction long before the container is filled. Air blowing out the sides can be a pain for larger cleanups. The exhaust can move the dirt around as you are trying to get to it. The onboard extension, which flips into place and gets pushed up into the vac, seems fragile, and not likely to last long with use. The brush attachment is coarse and sparse, which limits vac effectiveness on any carpet. So for me, the vac works, but it has issues that detract from ease of use.
