> 3 dayI always wanted to buy one of these to keep around to vacuum out our cars--and it excels at that job. Our dogs constantly track in dirt and grass, and someone (must be my wife) is constantly eating fried chicken, donuts, and chips in the car. At least that is what the crumbs look like theyre from. If you get a good unit, it works well with strong suction and a nice long cord. If you for some reason get a bad unit, return it immediately. The chances of getting a bad second unit are limited. Of course you can use the Dirt Devil for several other clean-up tasks. You can use it to vacuum up sawdust or filings from your garage projects. You can vacuum up the fried chicken, donuts, and chip crumbs your wife also drops in the garage. Its also a great tool for catching wolf spiders as big as the palm of your hand, the occasional (thank God) cockroach or a wandering wasp. Its great in the home office for vacuuming your computer keyboard and the various food crumbs that my wife drops there. We use it to clean out our African Greys bird cage and also the bird seed she likes to fling outside the cage. And I even use it to vacuum the loose hair off Dante, our 190 pound Cane Corso. The breeder said that Cane Corsos (Italian Mastiff) dont shed, but she told us a bit of a whopper there. If you dont have to groom a dog, it simply sheds. So this Dirt Devil has several uses that allow you to keep up with the various messes that you (or your wife) make around the house or in the car. I always try to beat her to the food crumbs so that she doesnt think that I am the one eating all that forbidden food.

> 3 dayThis is, by far, the best handheld vac I have ever purchased and used. For the past 15 years, I have been purchasing cordless handheld vacs and every year or two I have to purchase a new one because the battery doesnt hold but a 30 second charge. I was tired of spending $30 - $200 every year or two for a new vacuum that I knew would only last a year or so. I was also very disappointed in every cordless vacuums suction power (I have had everything from the

> 3 dayThe only drawback I find is the instruction booklet does tell you a rotating brush exists though not included. It has the power contacts at the opening to operate one. The problem is locating one. Otherwise, it IS a great unit for pet owners (cat litter, cat & dog hair) and for general light cleanup. Perhaps an accessory should be easily available or the booklet amended.

> 3 dayI would say this was exactly what I needed it for if it didnt blow everything all over the floor if Im not careful. I bought it to vacuum up my swept piles of dirt, dust, & dog hair my house accumulates daily. I thought this would be easier than sweeping each stair as well, but my back disagreed with that short cut. The suction is great and surprisingly it sucks up way way more than I thought it would before getting full. The problem is the thing blows my piles of swept hair, dust, & dirt all over the place if Im not careful holding it... this doesnt make it useless bc I still am able to get the piles sucked up like I intended to do with it, I just have to make sure I hold the thing without the air vent blowing in same direction of pile which isnt that big of a deal. The canister empties well & the filter is washable & thats worked out fine so far. I am sure glad I read most reviews before buying this otherwise I wouldve definitely broke the extended red piece already. Be careful with that part. I barely even use it bc its so delicate.

> 3 dayPowerful, love that it plugs in. Filter traps the tiniest particles, and yes - that means you have to clean it off, but easy enough to do. Happy with purchase. For those worrying about the Wash hands after using in the instructions, that is to comply with CA law, and concerns the electrical cord. Almost all electrical cords have some lead in them. This is not a danger to you. Perhaps if you allow your infant to suck on the cord daily for months, it could be an issue, but ..seriously?

Greater than one weekGreat little Vacuum for small furniture or cleaning up dusty/cobwebby corners but not ideal for use on any size of actual carpet unless you want to feel like youre scrubbing a swimming pool with a toothbrush.
