Dove is probably the best inexpensive bar soap for people with dry/sensitive skin. Ive used the unscented version on occasion over the years, but I would always move on to something else when I ran out because I actually prefer scented soaps. Silly me, I had no idea that the pink bar is rose scented until I read the reviews here! No, it doesnt smell like real, natural roses at all. This soap smells like something from the 80s. I have a lot of nostalgia for that scent. If you avoid soaps with added fragrance, or you want a more realistic rose scent, you will HATE this, but I love it. I smell it every time I walk into my bathroom, thats how strong it is.

Small bars able to maintain grip on them. Pleasant original scent. Good value.

This makes my entire bathroom smell good. Makes showering a luxury.

Have been using Dove for as long as I can remember. I use the bar soap as many don’t realize the amount of water being added to body wash, oppose to bar soap. Dove is so moisturizing and rinses off clean leaving no residue just soft clean skin... I am the proof ... lol

Only soap I use

I have always had sensitive skin and went through many different brands of soap before I finally spoke with my doctor about it during my yearly physical. She suggested that I try plain Dove bar soap and WOW what a difference. My skin went from being dry, flaky, and irritated to smooth, and moisturized. I couldnt believe the difference that changing just my soap made. My daughters pediatrician always commented on how soft my now two year old daughters skin was when we would go in for her well-child visits. He finally asked what type of lotion I used on her skin. I let him know that I rarely put any type of product on her skin unless it got a little dry. (which rarely happened) He then asked what type of wash I used on her. I then told him that I used Dove on her since birth. He was amazed at how healthy it kept her skin, and suggested that I keep using it on her! This soap smells great and doesnt leave that waxy feeling after showering once you get out. It leaves your skin feeling soft, and moist. I have used this brand for quite some time now, and I do not ever see myself switching to another brand.

I used to use body wash but switched to soap after feeling like body wash never got me clean enough. I used many different brands including the Dove Body wash which was great but still not the same as the clean feeling you get when using the bar of soap. My skin is very sensitive and most other soaps dried out my skin or made me break out. I finally asked a dermatologist if they could prescribe something that wasnt so harsh on my skin and they told me to use Dove bar soap. I tried it and I have been hooked ever since. Dove bar soap has been wonderful, it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and clean. I have not had any problems with break outs or dry or oily skin since I started using this a few years ago. I even carry a travel size in my purse so that when I need to wash my hands at other places I have it and I dont have to worry about what other soaps are going to do. The smell is great and not to scented which is nice to know that there arent all the fragrances added into the soap. You can this for sensitive skin which I have tried, I didnt notice any difference with my skin between the 2. So I stick to the original white soap and it is wonderful! LOVE DOVE! Im a fairly manly kind of guy, but this soap is my best friend for morning clean-ups: 1. I use it for shampoo (short hair) because it leaves my hair tame and easy to maneuver. I just rub the bar on my head, work in the suds and leave it while I wash the rest of my body. 2. I use the Dove Bar on my whole body, no cloth, just rub it and work in the suds. Feels good, rinses well and makes my wife happy with my good smell. 3. And this is the big one for me: I use my Dove Bar for shaving cream! It lubricates my face, softens the beard and makes my flexball glide over the face and clear it smooth as silk very fast. Ive never found a shave cream that worked as well as the Dove Bar, and it is very economical. Save the slivers that are too small to use in the shower and they continue working for a couple of weeks for shaving.
