I used to use body wash but switched to soap after feeling like body wash never got me clean enough. I used many different brands including the Dove Body wash which was great but still not the same as the clean feeling you get when using the bar of soap. My skin is very sensitive and most other soaps dried out my skin or made me break out. I finally asked a dermatologist if they could prescribe something that wasnt so harsh on my skin and they told me to use Dove bar soap. I tried it and I have been hooked ever since. Dove bar soap has been wonderful, it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and clean. I have not had any problems with break outs or dry or oily skin since I started using this a few years ago. I even carry a travel size in my purse so that when I need to wash my hands at other places I have it and I dont have to worry about what other soaps are going to do. The smell is great and not to scented which is nice to know that there arent all the fragrances added into the soap. You can this for sensitive skin which I have tried, I didnt notice any difference with my skin between the 2. So I stick to the original white soap and it is wonderful! LOVE DOVE! I love the product....shipping wasnt packaged well at all...was in a shipping bag with nothing around it, all beat up. I know its just soap, but come on....

I hace used Dove soap for years. Even if I skip lotion my skin is soft and not ashy. I like the variety of colors and fresh mild scents. It is also a clean soap that does not leave residue on the tub or shower. Highly recommend.

This makes my entire bathroom smell good. Makes showering a luxury.

Im a fairly manly kind of guy, but this soap is my best friend for morning clean-ups: 1. I use it for shampoo (short hair) because it leaves my hair tame and easy to maneuver. I just rub the bar on my head, work in the suds and leave it while I wash the rest of my body. 2. I use the Dove Bar on my whole body, no cloth, just rub it and work in the suds. Feels good, rinses well and makes my wife happy with my good smell. 3. And this is the big one for me: I use my Dove Bar for shaving cream! It lubricates my face, softens the beard and makes my flexball glide over the face and clear it smooth as silk very fast. Ive never found a shave cream that worked as well as the Dove Bar, and it is very economical. Save the slivers that are too small to use in the shower and they continue working for a couple of weeks for shaving.

I have always used Dove. I have a few bars of Dove at home, both pink and white, and this does not smell anything like the Dove I have. I guess Dove has changed their formula. I just returned an order of Dove white moisturizing bars because it has a strong flowery harsh smell. This smells the same unpleasant smell as the white bars.
