Im a fairly manly kind of guy, but this soap is my best friend for morning clean-ups: 1. I use it for shampoo (short hair) because it leaves my hair tame and easy to maneuver. I just rub the bar on my head, work in the suds and leave it while I wash the rest of my body. 2. I use the Dove Bar on my whole body, no cloth, just rub it and work in the suds. Feels good, rinses well and makes my wife happy with my good smell. 3. And this is the big one for me: I use my Dove Bar for shaving cream! It lubricates my face, softens the beard and makes my flexball glide over the face and clear it smooth as silk very fast. Ive never found a shave cream that worked as well as the Dove Bar, and it is very economical. Save the slivers that are too small to use in the shower and they continue working for a couple of weeks for shaving.

Dove is great and the aroma is awesome.

Not long ago, I went to the dermatologist for what turned out to be eczema. In addition to a prescription cream to be used short-term, the doctor told me to start using two things: white Dove soap, and Cerave moisturizing cream. I was, to say the least, surprised. Ive read for years that bar soap is bad for your skin; that the ingredients that make it solid also clog your pores. I had been a dedicated body wash user for years. But I decided to give Dove soap a try, since I figured it was a low-cost experiment--plus, my dermatologist had gorgeous skin! Boy, was I ever surprised. This stuff is GREAT. The Dove soap/Cerave cream combo makes my skin look and feel beautiful, and the eczema is gone. Im a believer!!!

I hace used Dove soap for years. Even if I skip lotion my skin is soft and not ashy. I like the variety of colors and fresh mild scents. It is also a clean soap that does not leave residue on the tub or shower. Highly recommend.

Dove is probably the best inexpensive bar soap for people with dry/sensitive skin. Ive used the unscented version on occasion over the years, but I would always move on to something else when I ran out because I actually prefer scented soaps. Silly me, I had no idea that the pink bar is rose scented until I read the reviews here! No, it doesnt smell like real, natural roses at all. This soap smells like something from the 80s. I have a lot of nostalgia for that scent. If you avoid soaps with added fragrance, or you want a more realistic rose scent, you will HATE this, but I love it. I smell it every time I walk into my bathroom, thats how strong it is.

The Best Bar Soap

Dove has always been a go to for my family. Once my oldest outgrew Johnson and Johnson I knew the best thing for eczema prone skin was dove. I remember my aunt using it when I was a kid and she was sure to never EVER use anything else. I didn’t know how important it was then to chose a soap and stick with it but now that I have my own family and we’re all pretty sensitive Dove was DEFINITELY our choice ! Simple, refreshing, moisturizing ! & everyone can use it!
