I love this soap,It is great as a shampoo, but you have to find a balance that works for you. I am an African-American woman who wears her hair natural and I tried many different types of shampoo for my hair. Like many of you , I read the reviews and was a little leery about using this product for shampoo but I tried it anyway and I am so glad I did. It is wonderful and my hair has never looked better, I use 1/2 a cup of the Dr. Bonners, 1/2 cup of distilled water, 1 tsp of grape seed oil( you can use whatever oil you like) , 1sp of coconut oil and a 1sp of she butter melted and my hair is not dry at all. In fact it is soft and shiny and I love it! Im not saying this combo will work for everyone. I tried a few different combinations before this one so you may have to channel your inner chemist but it was worth it and now I only use this in my hair.

I would recommended this product and I will be ordering more.

I have used Dr. Bronners Peppermint Castile Soap for over 20 years. It is great as a shampoo and body wash. I also use it to bathe by dog to eliminate doggy smell. It smells great if you like peppermint and will make sensitive body parts tingly cool. You get used to it after a while. If you have normal to dry skin, you will need to use a moisturizer as this will leave your face feeling very dry. A friend uses it for oily skin and it works great. In the 1970s I could only find this product in small quaint shops in California. It was a favorite among the Hippie generation as it was touted as an all-in-one soap for bathing and cleaning virtually anything. It was also a favorite among the environmental/organic/natural groups also. There were no combination shampoo/body wash products at that time so it was a very popular product. I have purchased similar products at major drug stores and retailers but they did not contain the amount of peppermint oil and were very diluted. If I found a better product, you would not be reading this review. The label still looks like a witch doctor wrote it and has not changed much since the 70s. To date, I have not read the whole label but plan to do so someday.

This is a very versatile soap . Not only can it be used in the shower ( once diluted) , however it can be used for laundry , for cleaning , and many other things . They have various scents, however this happens to be my favorite. This soap lasts me awhile , because you definitely don’t have to use very much . After using , it definitely makes you feel squeaky clean and fresh .

I wonder if people have noticed that there are other ways than alcohol and Lysol to take care of things during covid. Im glad I have a large bottle of this because it is antibacterial antifungal antibiotic. And great for not only your bodily needs but your household needs as well so if youre out there looking for something with alcohol in it remembered tea tree oil its just as good if not better :-) buy a big bottle and buy a few little bottles and just keep filling them and use them throughout the house and its a great thing for your buck and you only need a tiny drop in your loofah. No need to pour a bunch into your loofah. Just a tiny bit goes a long way and the product last a long time

I have had no problems with the delivery(No spills and all containers still having a seal). I love this product it makes my hair feel very clean and soft as well as being more eco friendly than other companys. For those who are getting rashes from this product, try diluting it to about a 2/1 ratio first (2 parts water to 1 part soap) if that is still irritating to the skin keep diluting till you find the sweet spot for yourself. If this doesnt help you most likely have either a small or large allergy (depending on the severity of the breakout)to something in the product.

Ive been using this for 40-odd years. I usually buy larger bottles, though.

Day 1. Your package arrives and youre excited to try out the soap you found sitting close to the top reviewed on Amazon and cant wait to smell like a candy cane instead of a teenage locker room. You get in the shower and read the directions that say squirt a little soap into your hands with water or a wash cloth. You do that, and then you think that cant possibly be accurate so you squirt a second time to be safe. You lather and start to wash yourself, and the great scent of peppermint starts wafting up and you begin to think about how great of a purchase this was. After a few more seconds the wafting becomes an invasion of your nostrils as the peppermint grows stronger. Now your entire bathroom smells of peppermint and you realize that they did indeed mean just a small squirt in their directions. As you continue washing all your memories are only of peppermint and you begin to forget any scents you might have gathered in your lifetime. All there is now is peppermint. You finish cleaning yourself and you step out of the shower, dry off and notice the peppermint is starting to subside as the water washes the soap down the drain. Life is slowly returning to normal as you pick the clothes you decide to wear for the day and suddenly realize the peppermint scent is delicately lingering on your person as you move from room to room. You smell like a candy cane and that joy that comes from that carries you through the day. Day 2. You are now an expert at Dr. Bronners Peppermint Liquid Soap and use the recommended amount. The experience is much better and you still smell like a candy cane by the end of the shower. Best of both worlds. Day 5. You see on the bottle that theres 17 other uses for this soap mixture other than cleaning yourself and you become curious, wanting to try a few of them. You decide to clean the floors with it, diluting to the recommended amount and making your house smell of peppermint. You never knew life could smell so clean. Day 22. Your life has been taken over by the peppermint. Youve cleaned your entire house, yourself, and your dogs in this product. You begin to see things that dont smell of peppermint as not pure - you begin to not want to leave the house. All things must be pure. All things must be peppermint. Day 74. You see the bottle beginning to run out. You make sure to order 4 more bottles to last you for the unforeseeable future.

This stuff is great. I use Dr. Bronners to take with me camping because it is biodegradable and I can feel secure that Im not hurting the local wildlife by letting it get into the environment. Its good to use for whatever: body, hair, dishes, even washing clothes. I would not use it on the daily at home but its the best thing Ive found for taking camping. I have tried the peppermint, its really tingly which is nice until you get to the more sensitive bits. No thank you. The lavender is great, but due to a lavender scented prank I pulled on my camp mates last year, I have decided to spare them that particular scent. So I decided to try the rose. The rose is a really pleasant scent. Not too powerful. The only way I can describe it is kind of grandma-esque but in a nice way. Oh, and one bottle of this stuff will last a single person an incredibly long time.

I love Dr. Bronners soap. Each time I receive a bottle from Amazon, when I open the package birds sing and small animated forest animals gather around me. I always somehow find myself locked in a lurid embrace with the bottle, completely naked. The sensation of pure bliss is overwhelming every time I receive a new bottle...but...then the cops come, I get arrested for indecent exposure for grinding on the bottle in the front yard wearing no clothes :(. Then the overwhelming sadness sets in when I am released from jail and I realize my Dr. Bronners is gone and the vicious cycle repeats. I rush home, order another bottle and with my free prime shipping, land back in jail again within four days. Actually now that I think about it, I think I have a Dr. Bronners problem. This soap is so awesome and so fair that now that I have decided to seek help, some cash shot out of the top of an old bottle because it knew it was the problem all along. Caveat emptor!!
