I ordered this not for food prep, but for craft items that will need to be stored for a long time. I wanted a cost-effective, light-weight means of keeping moisture out of a fabric craft that is stored in a plastic bag. This did the job! Ive popped one in each bag, then tied off the bags. It has been a hot humid summer, and so far, no condensation or any problems on the bags. (Yes, we have the A/C on all the time, but it has done almost nothing this year.) Definitely handy. It was shipped quickly, and the zip-top bag they come in means I can reseal without worrying about wasting any of the packets.

We have needed these silica packs for a while. We dont have air-conditioning & its rained A LOT since last fall.(Texas was in a 7 year drought.) Everything gets wet-feeling inside. These small packs are just perfect for smaller items like salt shakers, herbs, etc. that you dont want in a clump. I even use one or two in shoe boxes.

I love this. Its a great price. I make jerky every week and this helps it to stay fresh. I also keep several packets in a box that I keep my heart rate monitor to help it last longer by keeping it dry and to help absorb the sweat.

Perfect. I set out my vitamins for the whole month in little take with you containers. The problem is that with florida humidity the powder in the capsules get al clumped together and the fish oil gets soggy and sometimes leaks. I put one of these in each container and by the next morning the pills were dried out and the fish oil was firm again like nothing ever happened. Very convenient and such a great value.

I dehydrate my own food and put them in jars. Sometimes there could be just a little bit of moisture left so I put one of these in the jar for about 10 to 14 days it does make a difference. I also put one in my brown sugar container it helps.

Works great for my homemade dog treats

None of the contents have spilled out and they dont take up much room. Its difficult to tell if they are working or not since they dont change color after absorbing water vapor. However, Ive checked before and after with a hydrometer and they seem to be doing their job. I replace them about once a year.

I ordered 1,200 and I always count how many they send me and they actually sent me 1,200. Im very happy with my order! I always order these and will be back to order more.

We needed these on our sailboat to help mitigate moisture/mold issues. We’re in the tropics and think it may be too much to expect these to do what we need in this environment. We put them in spices/meds and as long as they’re kept tightly closed seem to do the job, but when you’re in those bottles frequently...not so much (again, under these conditions). Under less humid conditions they should work fine, as we’ve used them in Pennsylvania with great results.
