I recently re-stained my kitchen cabinets, the gel stain (which I would never use again) called for a light sanding, these did the job and worked well. I think the different colors are different grits but it seemed like they all sanded the same. All in all I would buy them again if I needed to do a light sanding on a project.

better to spend $5 extra dollars on name brand like 3M. The surface of the pad is loosing about 50% of grit/effectiveness after 6-8 laps on the regular aluminum flat part. It looks like only both sides of the pad to about 10% of its thickness have some working skin, once that 10% layer is gone after a few light uses, rest is just almost useless and garbage.

What was in picture looked like 3m product and from reviews looks like at one time this is what shipped....however, what arrived was what you typically see in the dollar store....totally thin trash!

The pads are thinner and less dense then 3m product. Ok for light duty scuffing.
